So, we have a few folks...not to pigeon-hole anybody into a certain role, we all seem to like variety, I was wondering what role we each thought we'd be taking in the 2O2P Lance (or...perhaps Star, eventually).
For my part, I'll probably be sticking with Assaults, maybe a Heavy (if I ever get a re-seen Warhammer or Thunderbolt)...but there's just something about coming around the corner in an Atlas right into a Hunchie and unloading.
I know we have some fire supporters in the group too. Perhaps some scouts.
I;ve working the assault and am getting better. I might actually became a decent brawler or more likely a long range sniper and lrm boat type player. I think I would be a poor recon or medium harasser. I just don't have the spot on timing required to fill that role.
Currently switching between scout & fire support, but I'm up for filling whatever role is needed.
Currently finished building the experience on my 3 cat variants to master, now working on hunchi's. I would most likely be fire support, scout hunter/killer, support. My founders cat and my k2 are pretty good at fire support, support and scout hunting. I am getting pretty decent at brawling as well and comfortable with srm and lrm's. My hunchi's will likely be reasonably fast as well.
I got to me elite with my Cats, going now for Commando (I want XP ready when they break out the role warfare). Centurion will most likely be next (We have a crapload of Hunchie lovers) and then the Awesome....
I'm comfortable in most roles (scout, assault, support) so I'm happy to just fill in any gaps.
At the moment I seem to like Cats. But I'll run whatever.
Scouts and Cats for me - although I'm not really stellar at either lol :D
I've been playing cats as well... I like sniping or being the missile boat, though I do have a nice brawler that could be used for support. If we got organized and there aren't enough Jenners I could do that as well, I like to scout.

One of my favorite Cat loadouts is my brawler, my only XL Cat... moves at like 65 km/h, has three SRM6's in each arm. Alpha strike from close range with that thing will ruin most pilot's day. Best kill ever: I sneak up behind a Hunchie in this thing, he's sniping or something and not moving. I creep up behind him, aim for centre back, and alpha strike... down in one shot :)
As it turns out...I may actually be a Light/Med pilot rather than a Heavy/Assault guy. I love the Jenner...and the Raven will be in-game in a week or so...good times a'comin.
