Great Noob Guide to Guild Wars 2
I found this really good guide that explains GW2 to noobs like me. Figure I'd pass it along for those interested.

Holy crap! I'm going to need to sift through that when I have some time. Awesome find. Thanks for sharing.![1 1](http://www.2old2play.com/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/_(1).gif)
Are we going to have a GW2 clan? I preordered mine earlier this month.
I'm assuming so. I know a lot of 2o2p'ers will be buying this. Best part yet is you can be in multiple guilds, so you're not locked into any one guild.
Excellent find I will avoid looking at it for now I have managed to not look at much of anything so the game can be an entirely new experience for me but it will be handy after the initial days.
Looking at some of this, what race and class is everyone going to first roll? Or should that be a new topic?
I'm curious as to the classes mostly. If we run a guild, we'd probably want it evened out, but I think that's easier done here. I just don't want to roll a ranger, and find out the majority rolled the same, and we suck for doing it. In gw1 I think elementalists were pretty bad ass and when outfitted right, could take out large mobs easily.
With GW2 destruction of the Holy trinity of MMO's (Tank, healer, DPS, and every class able to perform each role at any given moment) having one class chosen predominantly wont be of significant burden.
I'm going to purchase three character slots so I can have one of every profession, but my primary will be a Ranger. I always pick the ranger/hunter class to start. I'll work on my Mesmer and Engineer after that. Guardian, Elementalist, and Thief are the third group. I have little interest in the Necromancer and Warrior.
Elementalists seem pretty powerful. With four attunements, they certainly have a lot of skills to choose from. Knowing ANet they will nerf and de-nerf these professions from launch into infinity. The powerful profession you pick now won't stay the most powerful later. Instead, pick something that speaks to your personality and you think will be most fun to play.
You have five character slots, so use em. Also, you can go into the PVP area (it's through one of your menus) and all of the skills will be "unlocked" so you can test them out and see what impresses you, and what doesn't.
Btw, Stress test tomorrow (Aug 21) from Noon to 4 pacific!
Found this really good video on setting up your character for PVP.
