European Players
1st off, I haven't bought GW2 yet but am getting it asap.
I was just curious if anyone playing it is from the UK or Europe. If not is it possible for me to join you guys on the US servers, or is it like WoW where I'd need a US copy of the game?
From what I saw, you can join servers across the pond. There was a mention that it may take a few minutes to "transfer" your account to the other servers, but it's doable.
Correct. GW2 has no regoin lock on it. You simply have to transfer the account to our servers and you're good to go. From what I can tell, the servers are all based in Texas anyway. Not sure if that is 100% accuate though.
I'll potentially come and join you guys once I grab a copy of the game.
I know there was about 10 aussies playing on our server at 4 AM this morning because they all wouldn't shut up about it, so you should be good to go I think. ;)
I have joined the server at the top of this section, I'm UK based :)
