Currently Playing:

I think I had it happen once the first day (early release).  But was able to get back in 15 minutes later or so.

I haven't had that.  I just have to authorize (email) my account constantly when I want to log in.

Happened a bit this morning and a little bit yesterday afternoon. I'd be playing and then there are no players or enemies around. Can't interact with NPCs either. I think the servers are taking a hit cause it's the first weekend of play for every one.

Hey found this work around on MMO-Champion and it works just fine. Doesn't make much sense to me though, as all of my ports are forwarded....but as long as it works eh?

Hello I had a problem aswell and got Network error pretty much all the time. Made a support ticket and this is what the told me to do and it works perfect now!

1. Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 installation folder.

2. Right-click on GW2.exe and select Create Shortcut.

3. Rename this shortcut to Guild Wars 2 Port Test.

4. Right-click on this shortcut and select Properties.

5. Edit the Target line to include /clientport 80 at the end.

Note: Please make sure /clientport 80 is outside of the quotes

Correctly Formatted Example: "C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe" /clientport 80
Incorrectly Formatted Example: "C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe /clientport 80"

6. Once completed, click OK to save your changes.

If you get an error trying to save, your target line may not have the correct format. Please try step 5 again.

7. Double-click Guild Wars 2 Port Test and try connecting again.

The email authentication isn't working for anyone right now...they are "aware of the situation and are working on it" according to Twitter.  I have been trying to logon for well over 2 hours with no luck.  Looks like whatever system they have that emails the authentication out isn't working so the emails aren't coming out.
