Didn't pay attention to that because I immediately go to Fists of Croata to get the sword Knight or sword kills bounty and was on just striking and raiding after the update. I will keep note of that now.
There's been multiple posts about it on Bungie.net. Didn't realize people actually chased them around in Patrol instead of doing Fist of Crota. Kind of sucks for a new character. I have a Level 10 Hunter I started up that I won't be able to complete those bounties for until he hits level 20 and can do Fist of Crota. It probably has somthing to do with a similar event being released for HoW to replace the blades of Crota.

I usually can complete my Blades during Patrol/bounty duties. I resort to Fist of Crota when I run out of patience and time (pun).
The Postmaster had an Oversoul Edict waiting for me today. The only thing I did yestreday was solo CE Hard Abyss past the first bridge. I didn't think weapons dropped for that.

Yes, the 2nd lamp jump. Still not perfected but 1 in 6-10 ain't bad since the alternative is failure.
Achy, you're the bomb. Thanks to that video I was able to get all the way through to the Death Singer solo. I had been practicing soloing the second bridge and thanks to a friend found a better way to fly across but the Abyss aluded me. I was able to make the #2 lamp jump on the second try with my sunsinger. I went back and tried on my Titan but that was harder. Finally got it on the 10th or 12th try but I had to use the Striker class to do it. Setting your jump on extra lift in the defender class takes away some agility and I couldn't make catapult work for me. I will dig up your titan video and watch that. Thanks again!!!!!
Thanks. I think a key to the jumps is carrying a weapon with the lightweight perk active. That little extra agility gets you over the top, no pun intended.
Some of the over 50 gang took on VoG last night. Made it from start to jump maze. Our guides were BlueFox, LateMinotaur and then Skinnie, after Blue had connection issues. Thanks go to them. We finished the Templar well after it had enraged. I guess that was a bit of a feat.
I highly suggest running the Vault! 2 Fatebringers, 3 helmets, and 3 Vex Mythocloast dropped last night just from what I noticed. I got 1 of each, another got 2 helmets.
Thanks for the invite last night DEEP. I'm not a leader per se, but can offer suggestions for how to do certain parts. Always happy to help out. Sknnie is a wiz with either the relic or sword.
Running the relic is something everyone should have a turn at while in the Templar fight. Unlike running the sword in CE, where the team can choose which member will run the sword, Atheon teleports 3 randomly chosen team members to either Mars or Venus multiple times, and one of the 3 has to run the relic. It's a big fail if no one wants to run it or knows how to run it.
I practiced in the jump puzzle yesterday, and can now easily get my 2 Warlocks and Titan across without drama, using the floating pillar path and no pillar path. Just hated the puzzle in the beginning. Now, it's fun to go in to look around and explore.
I have found "Hunger of Crota's" tracking to be be less agressive than "Truth's".
We tried raiding Crota again last night. First we had to create a Party chat to deal with audio issues. We were working the second bridge when all of the audio quit. We waiting for AARP to tell us he made it across the bridge. First there was general confusion, then our FL was not showing anyone online and some of us had to go to bed anyway.

Running the sword against Crota is missing something without that Heroic soundtrack playing.

We did a simple load and go for the raid. First come first serve. I am always better off the earlier we start.
