[CLOSED] - [FM4] 2O4F Thundersaloon Series POSTPONED INDEFINITELY DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST

Proposed thundersaloon regs as follows. Series to run Sundays at 2000 GMT

1. Car Eligibility.

1.1       Cars should be RWD,  4 door Saloon body style only. No coupes are permitted. (for the purposes of this series cars such as the Audi S5, BMW M3 etc are considered to be coupes). Clarification of car eligibility should be made before series starts.

1.2       All cars should be road cars only, no racing models allowed.

1.3       Cars should be built to have a maximum of 500 BHP

1.4       Minimum weight limit is 3000lb.

1.5      Engine, Aspiration and drive conversions ARE permitted insofar as they do not breach the above stated restrictions.

1.6      Statutory Parts to be fitted are, Forza Race Aero (front and rear) Race Tyres and Race Brakes.

1.7      All cars must display the entrants race number, a race number board will be available for this purpose. Where there is a team entry, all team cars must display the same race livery.

1.8      The series administrator reserves the right to remove or apply further restrictions to any car found to be overly        dominant. Any banned cars will be listed under rule 1.9

1.9       Banned car list. (none)

1.10     Any car found to be outside the above regulations will be banned for duration of championship

2. Race format.

2.1       Race meetings will consist of 3 sprint races, with all points counting towards the drivers championship. A team cup will be awarded if there are sufficent teams ( teams are restricted to a 2 car entry, in the event of there being only 1 or 2 teams this cup will not be awarded.). There will be one points drop during course of season.

2.2      Grid order to be assigned as follows, Race 1 - random grid order, Race 2 - based on finishing positions of race 1, Race 3 - reverse grid order based on results of race 2.

2.3      Handicaps will be in effect, power handicaps in steps of 5% will be applied to a maximum of 10% to any car finishing in the top 3 of any race. Once awarded these will be in effect for the whole race meeting irrespective of the entrants finishing position in subsequent races. These handicaps do not carry over between race meetings so all Race 1s will be handicap free.

2.4      Points to be awarded as follows,

2.6       Cautions will be in place for the opening 2-3 laps dependent on race length.

All above number of laps tbc, Series admin reserve right to alter/extend  the track list. There will also be gap weeks to allow for XBone events if necessary.

3.  Etiquette and small print.

3.1        This is a non contact series, Race clean and give room.

3.2        Any complaints regarding driver conduct or accident enquiries should be made to the series administrator immediately after the race meeting has finished.

3.3        If deemed necessary, the series admin can apply penalties after the race to infringing drivers, these will range from time penalties to exclusion depending on severity.

3.4       As the series relies on lobby points the race room host cannot open a practice room prior to the event, doesnt stop someone else having one though.....

3.5      All usual 2o4f Race room stuff applies.

This series will follow the current GT series when that finishes, I will update the regs with sign up sheets links to points tables etc as and when i have them
