Windows 10 and XBone...
I've seen the presentation where someone on PC can play their XBox from the PC, and the last Windows 10 PR release said it gives "PC Gamers access to the XBox Live Community", but has there been any hint or whispering that the two will actually meet on the virtual battlefield? ( I know, I'm just stubbornly optimistic but it appears that XBone seems to be, or maybe Windows PC, coming closer to compatibility.)
This is a great chance to increase the community aspect of many games, I hope the developers seize this opportunity.
It sure would be nice to play cross platform.
Also an opportunity for more people to subscribe to Live and an incentive to buy more games. Here's hoping.
This is not something you want. Mouse + keyboard will own any controller all the time for shooters. Not to mention it's easier to cheat on PC then console.
Been watching this also, so far it just looks like you will be able to stream from you xbox to your pc. Remember the game is going to be playing in your xbox, your pc is basically just putting the picture on the monitor that its getting from the xbox. So not really playing a pc game at all.
Now something I got really excited about tonight was logging into Steam and seeing that the pre-orders are live for thier controller and hardware. You can stream your pc games from Steam to any TV in your house. This I cannot wait for!

If someone buys and tries the streaming device, please let us know how well it works. I'll be skeptical until I hear enough positive reports. I immediately preordered the steam controller though. Not for multiplayer shooters, but for all the other games in my steam library (a lot of strategy and RPGs, amongst other things).
I usually jump on stuff like this but I think I'm going to wait and see this time. I'm curious on how the small streaming box is gauranteed to play in 1080p. What if I have a crappy pc, does is still somehow improve the video quality? Or does it throttle it down so it runs at 1080p smoothly? Will be interesting to find out.
Where the press any key...
This is a wait and see item. The controller looks smooth but I can use a 360 controller too. I got a pile of 360 controllers too...
I'm like maybe I'll just wait until something breaks before I buy something new.
I may get the new controller with the 3.5 jack. Will that enable older headphones or is the signal still different? The elite controller does have my eye though.
Zing!
