E3 2015

With E3 just around the corner, was wondering what everyone is looking forward to.  I'm looking forward to more Fallout 4 info , more info on Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2, maybe something on the next Mass Effect, and the new Crackdown.

Fallout 4.  That's mostly all I care about, aside from Forza 6.  There could be a surprise somewhere though.

The new Star Wars Battlefront is what I'm really hoping we get to see. Also, Destiny, Halo 5 and The Division. I'm also curious to see if Gears of War will make an appearance.

Fallot 4, Forza 6,and Doom are my most wanted. I'm still kind of interested in the Mad Max game, although my expectations have been lowered. I'm also curious to see what the indie guys are planning for the XB1.

I have admired the Fallout games from outside for too long. I might hop in for fallout 4. While I am excited for what has already been announced, it's the unannouced "stuff" that I am looking forward to! I want to be blown away by something. That hasn't happened, for me, in this generation so far.

Fallout 4.

What I've seen from the Bethesda Showcase was very impressive. They even got me interested in Dishonored 2, while the first title left me indifferent.

The MS@E3 event kind of shook the ground under my feet.

SO MUCH STUFF!

Programmable controller with 4 buttons on the back/bottom looks awesome. Was hoping for a Gears of War collection instead of just the first. Warzone for H5 looks hella fun. The Rare collection and their new game (pirate mmo?) seems it could be a lot of fun. Wife is excited about Tomb Raider. Not big on indie games, but some looked interesting. Backwards compatibility is awesome. And I was blown away with minecraft on Hololens.

Overall, pretty good E3. And they didn’t even show Crackdown, Quantum Break, or the unannounced new Microsoft rpg. Can’t wait for Gamescon.

I was really looking forward to Rise of the Tomb Raider for PS4. Unfortunately, it is now only a Microsoft release. I'm seriously thinking about getting a used 360 so that I can reunite with Lara later on this year...

I missed the backward compatibility thing, is there a link anywhere to it?

The way it was presented was this

  • Coming this holiday season for all or this summer for those on the Xbox preview program. 100 games at launch. So while not all the games it sounds like the top 100 they see activity on Live and then others after.

*UPDATE looks like MS is having a good old democratic vote on the games! Go here to vote! https://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/298503-backwards-compatibility

I only own an xboxone so maybe I'm biased but......it seemed to me like MS eclipsed Sony this year. The media doesn't seem think so however.

Having sat through both I would agree with you but the audience reaction for some old PS games getting new life was undeniable and those are the die hard fans that scream the loudest. Just like backwards comparability on X1is for those fans that refuse to upgrade unto they get it.

While Bethesda clearly had the most substance with their show, I would place the Xbox guys in a solid second place and Sony at a distant third. The Last Guardian looked boring and the animation styles between the young boy and the guardian almost didn't seem like the same game. I wasn't really into FF7 or Shenmue, and the Black Ops 3 demo really fell flat. I was actually more impressed with the little indie games coming to XBL than the imminent AAA exclusives from Sony.

Sea of Thieves has definitely piqued my interest, especially if it contains that old Rare charm. ReCore looks new and original, and I'm already giddy about Rare Replay. Soo many games I want to play this coming Fall/ Winter.

Backwards compatability is bigger than the media thinks.

Last night I checked my games list on my XboxOne and there are all my old 360 games waiting to be downloaded.  That is awesome.  Even with the small selection available already my games library has just doubled.

I'm looking forward to the BC when it's available or if I can luck out and get into the preview program.  I have such a backlog of 360 games that I want to play but with my current set up after moving it's a pain to get the 360 set up.  I think MS is finally coming back this generation, now if they could somehow implement the game sharing feature that they were playing with in the begining of the One that would be great, that feature alone I would gladly pay a couple bucks extra on my gold membership.

Battlefront looks awesome. Can't wait to play that. Even my 8 and 3 year olds are excited. They have been playing the orignal on the 360 a lot lately. The new Destiny DLC looks good but the price tag pisses me off!!

I think Battlefront is going to be a huge failure.  We all know that Imperial troopers can't hit shit!
