It's too bad T10 couldn't get Porsche into FM5 to capitalize on the hybrid-hypercar craze with the P1, La Ferrari and 918. Still, it's cool that all three are finally together in the same game.
I'm hoping since Porsche's been confirmed for FM6 before the game's release that some of them will be included in the main game like FM3, but I'm expecting them to be a separate Day 1 launch car pack. I guess it really depends on what the licensing arrangements were with EA.
Looking forward to seeing what Dan Greenawalt's going to show during his part of the XBox One presentation next Monday. Should we have a drinking game where we take a shot every time he says Forzatech and/or Drivatar?
The secret to Forza 6's success is pretty simple to me. Keep the great graphics and FPS, add weather and day/night transitions, improve the FFB to Forza Horizon 2 standards, put back the auctionhouse and marketplace last seen in Forza 4 and give us car and track counts that are comparable to Forza 4. If they can do all of that, which seems very doable, they will have a slam dunk.
Greenawalt's notorious for pouring forth information, one dribble at a time. Honestly I'm too old to play this game again. I won't be party to all the wondering about a product that would frankly sell better if the public were truly informed IF it truly IS a quality product. His style of promotion only plays to someone that's aware of their strengths and more importantly weaknesses. Smoke and mirrors, diversion. If he truly tosses it all out on the table and it looks good, we might have something.
Zero, none of what you spoke of addressed the sheer ineptitude so far for community abilities to have series, contests, hell, team paints(?). or even full lobby chat glitch free. The chat thing in particular seems to be plaguing many games and developers. All that you speak of AND community/club tools and tweaks are needed.
I still seriously doubt an auction house will ever happen. They don't want or need to waist resources babysitting the stupidity that surrounded it's outer edges previously. And the current system is all but unpalatable to the supports (painters/tuners) as is. I hope they can appease them and perhaps avaoid the crapfest of cheating that abounded with the earlier auctionhouse/storefronts.
I really think I may be done with all anyway. I get to thinking about Forza and PCARS and I just start to smolder fume n fuss. I don't know if I can find the fun anymore.

Fun should not be work my friend. Nor should you have to "find" it.
Timothy J. Seppala 1:06 PM Nighttime races, huge cityscapes. Forza 6 looks seriously pretty. Out September 15th.
Timothy J. Seppala 1:06 PM Blue ones, red ones. And it sounds like Imagine Dragons covering "America the Beautiful."
Jessica Conditt 1:05 PM Bye, bye, car! It disappears back into the ceiling as the surrounding audience half-heartedly attempts to touch it.
Timothy J. Seppala 1:05 PM And now a trailer starring the Ford GT.
Timothy J. Seppala 1:05 PM "The most beautiful, technically advanced" game Turn 10's ever built, they say.
Jessica Conditt 1:05 PM It's a really pretty blue color.
Mat Smith Not green?
Timothy J. Seppala 1:04 PM It's a blue Ford GT. You want spectacle? You came to the right place. Henry Ford III and Turn 10's Dan Greenawalt are onstage right now.
Jessica Conditt 1:04 PM It has four wheels and two seats. #carstuff
Jessica Conditt 1:04 PM A car. There's a car being lowered from the ceiling.
Timothy J. Seppala 1:04 PM Forza 6 it is. And a car's being lowered FROM THE CEILING.
Timothy J. Seppala 1:03 PM And now we have what's almost positively Forza 6. Showing old archival racing footage. It's very Ford-focused.
My hope is that Forza 6 is on display and playable at E3 so that we get some updates. Darin Gangi from ISR is there and so hopefully he can provide us with some footage and updates.
I love Forza 5, but am ready for a new Forza game.
Not to be a Debbie downer but once you get past the initial awe of night and/or weather racing you'll find the only thing worse than racing in strictly daylight hours is running a race in the rain or the dark.

Agreed, although I do admit that racing in the dark and/or in the rain in Project CARS is pretty good. In GT6, racing in the rain is always a nightmare, but racing at night can be fun.
I am glad to see they are including all tracks from Forza 5 and apparently (I assume) all or most cars. My attitude all along has been simple - give us the graphics of Forza 5, with the car and track count and community features from Forza 4, plus day/night racing and the FFB from FH2 and you have a winner. They have made the perfect Forza game, its just that it never came together in one package.
And to clarify Debbie Downer's above statment...Every once in a while, like Thursday past, Parcells pulls out a nice drive and does a lap or two of the ring as the sun sets, its a beautiful setting on an equally attractive track. "Driving" yeah, "racing" not so much which coincidentally is how Parcells feels about the Ring
I will say they seem to be forthcoming with more information than normal this time around. I'm actually looking at this , color me interested again, so far...
A Porsche expansion pack is coming to Forza Horizon 2 tomorrow and Porsche is confirmed for Forza 6.

Awesome news for FM6, but will it be from day 1 ( and not dlc!)

They may get a few back if they do all that.
Rumor mill suggests 450 cars and 26 locales. We'll know more next monday morning.

Yeah, I don't think we will.

Totally agree...
Forza 6 is coming on September 15.

That is sooner than expected...
Timothy J. Seppala 1:07 PM And now the car's gone, under the cover of that trailer, while no one was looking at the GT.
Jessica Conditt 1:07 PM Now, a world premiere.

E3 Forza 6 trailer is in the wild:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkidAZQ3fJo&feature=em-uploademail
HeliosT10 stated there are playable games on the floor and that there should be plenty of footage coming out on the net.
I am watching the trailer closely during my lunch hour and so far I have noticed the following significant parts of Forza 6:
1) 26 "world famous destinations" (whatever that means)
2) Over 450 cars
3) Night and rain racing
4) Lotus 49
5) Daytona
6) 60 FPS
7) 24 car multiplayer
I havenothing for the rain but the night racing/lighting footage at Sebring looked pretty nice.
The optimist in me hopes for day/night and weather transitions like Horizon. The realist in me expects static day/night and weather.
Tire barriers aren't solid walls anymore.
Best I could tell from the track shots...
Brands Hatch
Watkins Glen
The Ring
Daytona
Rio appears to be their signature fantasy track for FM6.

Hard to get excited anymore.
Say it isn't so Snappy. Did they finally beat down the ever optimist? A sad day indeed.

Well, there's something in it they're calling leagues, not clubs, so who knows where that's going...
24 cars on track, I'm a bit skeptical on that working smoothly. Has the chat ever been straightened out yet?

Porsche in FM6 but not until 2016.
