I'm looking forward to a turnkey racing game that I don't have to spend more time searching the forums to figure out how to keep my car on the road rather than I spend behind the wheel racing. I read where all of the tunes and liveries from FM5 and Horizon 2 will import into FM6. Count me in for the ultimate version.
So no clubs and no public lobbies still but he does make it sound promising. Although Forza 5 sounded promising until we got it, not that it's necessarily bad IMO. We shall see.

I thought there are public lobbies, they are just not "custom" public lobbies.
Also, whats the big deal about no clubs? It seemed like we did not make regular use of them in Forza 4. They were just there, but not very useful.

That's what I meant, derp. The ability to kick griefers without the stupid broken voting system is what we need. Badly. That is the main benefit of custom public lobbies, even over choosing class and track.

I think the League system is supposed to help manage the timmies. Your driving style is ranked based on your skill and temperment so when you online you'll be matched up with similarly ranked players. It may address most of the issues of timmies and griefers joining your lobby(assuming you're not a timmie or griefer as well),
Questions I have about the system are...
What happens if a player goes into road rage, rams other players and effectively lowers their ranking out of the current League? Does the game dynamically shuffle them out of the lobby or will it do so the next time they join multiplayer?
How will Forza handle parties of players with different League ranks?

That's assuming it works as intended. Drivatars sounded good in theory too, look how they turned out.

Yeah, there used to be a ranking system to help put players together and that kinda fell flat as i recall.
Players want private lobbies that are publicly searchable, and privately controllable. Something we had in the past. (I think that pretty much covers it?)
I get it. Forza 5 has private lobbies, as well as public lobbies. What you guys want is a public lobby that you can customize, including the ability to kick out random guys that join the lobby and cause problems. In other words, you want to best of both worlds.
So, no custom lobbies that are publicly searchable? Can players still create custom lobbies then just invite friends?
BTW, I think players can deal with timmie's on there own. Just let the host kick people at will. Any time T10 tries to fix something or help players it usually works out...meh.
Some examples: people exploiting the in game economy-no more gifting, bad AI behavior-drivatards, etc

Agreed 100%
Yes there will always be private custom lobbies. If they got rid of those they'd really be in trouble.
Yeah Oldschool. I believe you are right.mi think FR should start going out soon. Even the the Xbone UI isn't the friendliest.
In one of those videos Dan Greenawalt references (at the 5 minute mark) that he doesn't think that the Forza franchise should not be limited to "only being on console". That should raise everyone's eyebrows. Is he hinting at something with FM6 or some future date. Check it, maybe I'm losing it.

They are not fooling anyone, they already ported Forza 5 to PC, with minimal effort. Of course they can port Forza 6 to PC, particularly once Windows 10 and DirectX 12 hits.

Then, you know what? I may wait. Full utilization of my triple screen set up, alone, is worth the wait.

He's looking forward there Snappy. I caught it. He backtracks and says he isn't making any formal announcements, just stating there aren't any limits going forward.
I think with the push Windows 10 seems to be making with the gaming community, that might be simmering somewhere... it does raise an eyebrow.
I think when he mentioned PC it will be more like using the xbox one app through windows 10 to log on and play first party Xbone games on your PC. I don't think it will ever be a straight PC title. MS is way to protective of their content.
im so glad to see Porsche on FH2. I just hope they bring more classic race cars. Like the 904 and 917. He also mentions can am cars. I'd love to see some Chapparalls. (Did I spell that right?)
Chaparrals? ( LOL, I dunno either...) Google seems to favor this version, hehe.
So does my GT4 Official Game Guide. Boy, I used to spend hours just reading the info on the car companies, tech stuff and the track info and tips. I wish they still printed these for the current games.
Insanerc told me about a 1 hour live stram T10 did from E3. I recognize Mechberg's voice but I don't know who the other guy is. Nice footage from FM6. Here are some tidbits from the livestream that I hadn't heard before.
No PC release but you can stream to Windows 10.
No multi-screen support
New tire compounds
No unicorn cars
No auction house, but there will be a file system to review shared content.
No car clubs in Forza 6. Focusing on new League system.
80 different manufacturers.
Night racing will mean lower track temp which will affect handling.
There will be a demo.
Forzatech is the name of their proprietary game engine that has been evolving over the last 10 years. Rain in FM6 was based off the work Playground Games did for FH2.
No tracks with rain and night racing at the same time.
No Microtransactions.
Tokens may be added later, but they're trying to launch the game with a balanced economy.
I raced three different configs at E3: a day lap in the Ford GT at Rio, a wet lap at Brands Hatch in an Audi TT, and a night lap at Sebring in a Lamborghini Huracan. It was a lot more polished that the Forza 5 demo they sent with that traveling XB1 party truck that stopped over in Deep Ellum before the launch. I really had to baby the TT in the rain, but the physics felt solid.
I like Lawyer's quip that we already had the perfect Forza game, but it was little pieces of other Forza games. I would throw in with the new game just for the extended car and track list. I honestly don't give a shit about rain or night driving, but it's a nice touch. I also don't really give a fuck about clubs as long as I can race with the 2o4f guys like we used to. Sharing tunes and designs would go a long way in bringing back the trust that was lost in Forza 5. I was disappointed by the size of Forza 5, not necessarily the quality.

The option to grab a car and go from the club was quite useful.
The ability to host (or join a known host) and his/her ability to weed out the timmies as it were...

I can't see removing custom created lobbies. Just can't search for them I guess? Learn to use and lean heavily on friends list I suppose.
Snappy, maybe we need another gamertag thread and get started on adding people now?
