Yeah, we took out Atheon without too much trouble once everybody got a sense of what to do once teleported.
We did make it to Crota, but my poor showing with the sword kept us from finishing the task. We kept saying "one more try" until it was almost 2 hours past my bedtime. Now I have a Destiny hangover...lol
I'd like to get a group together at least once a week to run the raids. There are still a lot of people that have yet to complete one or both of the raids (or have very little experience...like me).
The lack of new raid is where HoW fails. I'm burned out on the game since running the raids weekly is what kept me going. I have run VoG on hard mode multiple times and Crota hard mode a few times and have everything I need/want. Grinding for etheric lights to upgrade all my olds guns/armor is boring. Never touched ToO since I'm not into PvP in this game. Though I'd be good until Septemember when everyone moved to TTK, but didn't happen. Seems like a lot of people are already burned out on the HoW.

Nine months since release and I still see a lot of the same names playing Destiny. Not quite as much but it's remarkable how popular this game is, in spite of the controversies.
In 3 months XB1 owners get TTK and the 2014 Sony exclusives. It's okay if people take a summer break from Destiny. They'll be back in droves come September.
Personally, I expect to re-purpose some Destiny time in World of Tanks over the summer.
I'm just getting back into the game myself. Kinda of took a break from xbox for a couple of months with a lot going on at work. Anyways if I remember correctly my hunter is around 32 or 33ish. I have never ran any of the raids, just done a bunch of bounties. Would love to join up with some people maybe this weekend if any of you are playing. I really need to get some better guns as my best one is a pistol that I got around lvl 28.
Wouldn't be able to make every Raid night (Tuesday-over-50 is my one priority), but if there's a regular night and time, I could definitely mark my calendar and request a reservation for one or two
Thinking about spending an etheric on the Vestian Dynasty to take it to 365.... I've been killed by it several times in the Crucible and I've used it a little there too. Its ADS and ROF are lightning fast, and you always respawn with ammo for it. Plus, it's good for Fallen - thinking this week's mostly Fallen PoE 34. Against PvE, a 331 VD produces 408 criticals, on par with some 331 scout rifles. The VD (good acronym) has an effective range about the same as The Last Word - meaning fairly short.
Thanks Deep & AARP for the PoE34 last evening. The boss fight seemed easy.... : )

Its a fun little weapon, but I'd ascend it after all your main weapons and armors are pumped up.

I know... I do however, have most of my main PvE/PvP guns and armor ascended. So, my choices now seem to be between a Hunger of Crota or Vestian Dynasty. The Hunger would likely be the best choice for a VoG run because I use it at the Templar fight. though a 365 VD might be a gem when used against Fallen in the PoE.

I think you had some space magic with you. I tried it again last night with Agent and GIJoe and we couldn't beat the boss. I didn't even know the boss was sucking up ether from minions when you, AARP and I did it. It took quite awhile before it registered what was happening and we still couldn't beat it.

The servitor eats dregs to regain health, so you gotta kill the dregs/ads first, then pour on the Gjallarhorns. Each player needs 4-7 rounds of Gjally up and a heavy synth ready to burn before beginning. A Titan's weapons of light bubble helps, but isn't absolutely required ( we did it again yesterday with two hunters and a warlock exactly the same way and just as fast (with two Gjallys and a Hunger of Crota)). Once the servitor is down, someone needs to quickly chase down/kill the target Captain.
We pounded glass up Atheon's ass.
Last I saw of the fireteam, we made it to the Deathsinger section.
Good times.

I had a PoE hangiver the other day. Ugh.
Now you know why I cut and run at midnight. I'm not some 40ish person anymore.

Trials is the best part of Destiny to me.

Picking a night to raid sounds good to me.
After taking a month off, I really feel like I am enjoying this game even more now than before.

Picked up an Invective yesterday. I'll soon be ranking it up.
Bungie Day.
Keep your eyes open and your expectations low.
Gasp. Nothing happened.
Those without eyes can see.
"oh my God! — it's full of stars!"
Something about a special Emblem at the end of year one -- all you have to do is sell your sister.
I wonder what the exchange rate is for a sister?
Anyone still playing Destiny on 360? If so, shoot me an FR with 2o2 in the msg. Need a crew to run with at night. Thanks. Xbox tag: Ezy Ryd3r
PoE 34 with Lateminotaur and AARP. Success. :)
Now, which weapon gets the Etheric Light? Probably Found Verdict.
Congrats to Deep. Now that vertigo has passed I am ready to jump into some POE action.
Destiny servers down today until around 3 pm eastern for maintenance.
Me too. Stupid surprise maintenance

35 and 34 done in an hour and a half, including a pee break between the last and Skolas rounds. Solid reset night.
