When I did it last time it was up. Was simply kill the wizards first then have two people blast him until his shield was down to give the sword guy a few hits.

Anyone got a good strategy for taking down Thalnor (baby Croata) in the Court? Been trying the last few days to take him down to get that last fragment with help from Deep but we keep getting our asses handed to us.
As I recall, the mechanics are the same as in Crota's End. Work the wizards down, shoot heavies at Thalnor (tracking rockets - Truth or whatever you have) to get him to kneel, and then bash him with the sword. Suggest taking in a 3 person fireteam and hope for some others to show up there.
Yeah, trying with 2 is tough. One person with rockets is not enough to get him to kneel. Found that using Titan Sunbreaker super would get him down but timing was always off. And then there were all those damn adds...
I wouldn't call it easy. Two randoms were already there when we arrived and started up Thalnor before we could. So we jumped in and took him out fairly quickly. Then I put a rune in and we rinse and repeated. One of the randoms left and it took 2 tries to get it done for Soul but we did. Less than a half hour and he went down 3 times.
My Arminius D is getting a base damage decrease. Waaaah!
Shit! I find a gun nobody loves but me. Then other people find out about it. It gets nerfed.
I'm in the middle of some kind of sardonic horror flick.
Shit!
At least my Y1 & Y2 Spare Change.25s will work again. And, I may give my Y2 SUROS another try. Feel sad about my Nechrochasm & Arminius though. The upside is that the Doctrine of Passing won't win as often as it does now.

To each his own, I guess - Spare Change .25s turn into marks the second they hit my inventory. And less Doctrine wins is a downside as far as I'm concerned, it's the first auto rifle I've really grown fond of. But I guess I'll be putting Suros back in the rotation.

Theoretically, the SP.25 will be become a 2-burst kill pulse rifle once again with 34 crit damage per bullet. It never was a 2-burst for me cuz my aim isn't that good, but a 3-burst, yes... If you have an SP.25 with a lot of stability, it should be very good. It's all about stability.
The Red Death remains my final go-to primary if nothing else I have is working for me. The perks High Caliber Rounds, Unflinching, and Red Death (health regen on kill) are what makes it great. Opposing players have a hard time hitting you if you're hitting them, and the health regen allows you to quickly engage a second enemy with full health.
I think, overall, the impact (no pun intended) will be minimal. We are talking about small increases/decreases.
Success in the Crucible, is mostly dependent on map awareness and positioning - just like any shooter. Yes, your weapons are important but we all play in different ways, so pick what works for your style.
I'm always tinkering with guns, but I always find my way back to my trusty Red Death. However, it's not for everybody, so I say use what YOU like, don't worry so much about what Bungie "nerfs" and "buffs".
So what's your take on having match making for the raids? I'm arguing with a bunch of tarts over there who claim the raid can be run with no mics. This might be possible if everyone in the FT has been playing together and knows their role very well but I cannot imagine running the whole raid with no mic of anyone in the fire team at all. Do you guys think it's possible?
Chzburger can do it with us. Could 6 without mics and no previous coordination? Maybe experienced players can, on normal along with high light level gear.
There's matchmaking, and then there's mics. There's nothing to stop a matchmade team from getting into party chat.
I can imagine it being possible to get through a raid with a matchmade team made up of players who know what they're doing, since I've completed many hard mode KF raids with LFG groups, but I think it would be extremely difficult if there was no verbal communication.
I can see both sides of the argument for raid matchmaking, but given how important communication is - especially in King's Fall - it would be awful trying to coordinate/sherpa this type of activity with no mics.
A random group of players, with no fireteam experience and no raid experience = NO WAY!
I would love to finish the raid, I have a CP for Oryx hard but doubt I'll be on tonight. Ran it was some LFG guys Saturday, missed one bomb to had to run another wave and someone got off their plate making me fall to my death. I was so pissed.
Sure am glad I saved all those exotic engrams!! They are mostly decrypting higher light level wise than the equipped armor piece or weapon! I was able to move my main character from 315 up to 320 just by decrypting and infusing the saved exotic engrams, and had a few left over to bump my second and third characters up a couple of light levels. Adding to that that I got several (Vanguard and D.O.) reward packages with either 324/325 armor or weapons and now I can get my primary character up to 322. Legendary engrams still suck though.
Downside, total ammo for weapons has dropped by a clip as Bungie has stated it would. My HMG went from 182 to 135 and my sniper from 18 to 14. Add to that is the fact that ammo drops are providing less ammo for special and heavy and one will have to think a little more when using these weapons. Primary weapon ammo appears to be unchanged.

Twas easy?

Logged in to Destiny this morning and finally got the Flawless Raider achievement. I guess it was lost in the mail...
The secret to mini Crota is taking out the wizards. They help shield him.
Looks like Titan's are getting a pass in this update. Thank goodness.
Bout time, my hammers seemed pretty useless in IB this past week unless it hit them in the face.

I get killed by that gun all the time.

That sniper is sweet. Can't wait till it's available in 2017 for Xbox
It burns my ass the rest of the sniper collection is getting nerfed but this new sniper gets the Dynamite and With a Laser Beam perks.
Thanks Sony.

Put in a light level (irrelevant, really) and click on each of the six experiences to get specific details about the April update.

I just can't see KF without verbal communication. Cheez is the exception to the rule.
Btw, I still have the HM checkpoint at Golgy if anyone is interested in trying to take him out tonight.
I expect tomorrow to be all about questing, striking, and "POEing."
Interested in Golgy, if on.
