King's Fall Raid, Fri, May 13
Sign up here for the King's Fall raid on Friday, May 13 at 9pm Eastern/ 6pm Pacific. No raid experience necessary, but you should be at least 300 light and have a decent, high-impact sniper, like the 1000 Yard Snare for sale at the Vanguard vendor. We usually run for about three hours more or less. If you need to change plans, we understand, but post here again as soon as possible so we can find a replacement. If there are already five participants, please consider signing up as an alternate. Stuff happens, even at the last minute.

In. Let's go hard or normal?
We've been mostly running normal these days, so normal is my guess, but either way is fine with me.
Still one open slot for someone!
So far we have: DEEP_NNN, Hammerdrake, OldnAchy, DatBasementCat, and myself.
I just read a claim that challenges can drop up to 335 light items even at normal difficulty. The challenge this week is Oryx. 335 helmet or primary, anyone?
We will have to push pretty hard to get to Oryx. Maybe we can grab a checkpoint from someone?
Mmm... pretty sure Bungie said NM drops would only go up to 320 and HM up to 335. This is the first I've heard that there's any difference when challenge mode is on - it will be interesting to get confirmation of this. I saw that infographic that was posted on reddit but I'm not sure that's right. Why would anyone run HM after reaching LL 330ish if they can get the same level stuff from NM?
Regardless, you will still only get drops within a range of your LL (e.g. up to +5).
DEEP_NNN, Hammerdrake, OldnAchy, AARP card kidd, xxSomeTimerxx, and Krak64 ran the normal mode raid tonight. We had a good time, learned some stuff, and got as far as killing half of our weekly allotment of Sisters. Hammerdrake and I tried two-manning one of the totem plates, and managed to keep it going for a couple of rotations before wiping. It's doable, but there is almost no room for error.
Good run. You're getting quite good at the concise mission explanation.
I had to drop out of your raid crew last night so to help out the deaf raid crew with 2 inexperienced players. We managed to go all the ways to the Daughters stage and successfully pulled it off after several tries. I told the deaf crew that sleeper stimulant or machine gun 310 or greater can bring much damage to daughters. Now we'll be raiding in the final Oryx stage tonight but most of the crew have never experience that stage, especially the four ogres. Yikes.
Probably should have given us a heads up about that here right when you decided to raid with them. We had to scramble a bit at the last minute to fill our team.
Yeah, or if you know in advance that something might come up, you can just put that in the fine print when you sign up for the raid. ("In, unless..."). You are still very welcome to sign up, even with conditions.
