King's Fall Raid, Fri, June 24
King's Fall Raid, Fri, June 24
Krak64 will be traveling for the next two Fridays, but hopes some of us will still raid! Post here if you are interested. DEEP_NNN and/or OldnAchy may be available to keep things organized.
Sign up 'here' for the King's Fall raid on Friday, June 24 at 9pm Eastern/ 6pm Pacific. No raid experience necessary, but you should be at least 300 light and have a decent, high-impact sniper, like the 1000 Yard Stare for sale at the Vanguard vendor. We usually run for about two hours more or less. If you need to change plans, we understand, but post here again as soon as possible so we can find a replacement. If there are already six participants, please consider signing up as an alternate. Stuff happens, even at the last minute.
Acceptance for this event is via first come first serve by posting in this topic.

With some help from Soulterror and some chat sandbagging from Darth, we managed to complete the Warpriest challenge and several training attempts on Oryx.
It was a good night but we had to work for everything. We over came the adversities.
Sorry about grabbing the last relic early last night. Was on the phone and not fully paying attention. Luckily it didn't seem to cause any issues for the group.
DEEP NNN, Darth Tabasco, KalSC, SCwrr, RippingGester, Midnight Aurora, T RAVgoingetu and LetsGoMeters made a training run on Oryx last night.
Many people made a relic run or two and we got to experience the bombard and echo chamber phases.
It was fun. I'm up for more if it comes to pass. Trying out different functions is quite valuable.
Another spur of the moment group practice tonight. Almost beat Oryx too.
We got VERY close to taking out Oryx last night and got in some excellent runs. Thanks to all that showed up to help!
Very close. I could nearly taste that Touch of Malice. Even if we didn't kill him, it was still a good time.
We did quite well at killing the Ogres at their spawns. We didn't even use Defender bubbles, although those do make the job easier.
Using the challenge mode to explode bombs does seem a little less hectic and efficient but you can lose more if it fails.
I like not exploding the bombs at all until the end. Each shade stage consumes a 3 of Coins and is another chance at an exotic drop! Plus it's so much more fun than the bombing run.
Also, it seems like if we lose a bomb, we've screwed up and are pretty much toast anyway. How often do you just lose a single bomb, then carry on to defeat Oryx?
If you're looking for another to round out your Fireteam, shoot me an invite, I'll usually jump out of whatever I'm doing to join in.
