King's Fall Raid, Fri, July 29
Sign up here for the King's Fall raid on Friday, July 29 at 9pm Eastern/ 6pm Pacific. No raid experience necessary, but you should be at least 300 light and have a decent, high-impact sniper, like the 1000 Yard Stare for sale at the Vanguard vendor. We usually run for about two hours more or less. If you need to change plans, we understand, but post here again as soon as possible so we can find a replacement. If there are already six participants, please consider signing up as an alternate. Stuff happens, even at the last minute.

So far we have three raiders in (OldnAchy, Duke12, and myself) and one alt (DEEP_NNN). The Oryx challenge is up this week, so consider joining if you still need and want that. We've never knocked out the Oryx challenge in one session starting fresh, but we might be good enough to do that now.
If it's NM, then I'm in. We have to skip the jump puzzles by dragging people through. Too much valuable time gets wasted in there and I feel bad about leaving you guys in the lurch at my witching hour.
We have been pretty much doing that on the ship puzzle haven't we? The problem with the pistons is that we can't drag anyone thru. If someone is having a major problem, then that individual or individuals has/have to leave the fireteam then rejoin. Not easy asking someone to leave or booting someone, but there has to be some reasonable time limit to attempting to complete that puzzle. Everyone has gone thru this enough times that it should not be much of a problem unless someone brand new is running on a given night. Outside of the challenges, the pistons seem to be the biggest time drainer.
Pistons is always a little slow. But it feels like we are making it through faster each time. We've slowed down a little lately because we've been getting everyone to the exotic chest, but it still feels faster to me. Could just be me though... and seriously I've never seen an exotic pop for anyone yet on that chest. One day I guess it will.
If you need us, Ranger & I can join in. However, if anyone needs the oryx challenge calcified, we will back out to allow them a chance.
I'd say go ahead and sign up Kal/Ranger and we run NM to see if we can get front to finish and the challenge. That would be cool.

I need the HM achievement as well. Maybe on another night (when I am off pain pills)?
I have not done this raid... I could be available to join. I have a 327ish Titan. It would be great to run it with a group who'd cut me some slack when I screw up. I need the cheevos, quests, and fragments. Fri. 9 eastern, right?
9:00 pm eastern is correct. Good to be logged on 15 minutes prior and look for a party invite.

Maybe a few stragglers like you can be rounded up so they can get the raid done with vets.
If we have enough people. I have another person who has asked me about doing a raid with him. He's never been in KF before, so NM would be good for him.. Would only need a couple more people and we could run side by side tonight. Any one else interested?

:) Sounds good Darth, you're needed. I sent a msg to you on xbox, you can ignore me now. I also sent a message out to Rip to see if he would be available, we'd only need 1 more and could have 2 raids at once. Come on, who else wants to go in for some raid fun. I promise there will be lots of laughter, great conversation, and occasionally me cursing as I get torn between dimensions.
We split into a couple of groups this week. OldnAchy, Duke12, DEEP_NNN, Agent1951, Kenjamin M1, and myself (Krak64) ran normal mode and got as far as the Sisters. We got the second one to a sliver, but no cigar this time.
Lots of raid fun tonight.
Second team was composed of SCKal, SC Fnord Ranger, Darth Tabasco, SoulTerror, RA Darkman & aAdamToRemember. We also ran normal mode. We managed to pick up all but 1 calcified and downed Oryx. We did not attempt the challenge mode, just went for a quick kill.
We will be running a hard mode raid tomorrow night, but if anyone wants to run from the sister's checkpoint Sunday, let us know, we may be able to help for a bit.
That was rather fun watching again. Interesting to verify what I thought had happened a couple of times did indeed happen (IE bomb msg split). Lots of good laughs.
Yeh, little missing at one point when my ghost was getting t-bagged and I could no longer talk from laughing. But then who really wants to hear that :P, I ended up muting myself.
Given that we had two team members relatively new to the raid, getting the Sisters almost down was quite an achievement.
Thanks for the help with my first kings fall, SCKal, SC Fnord Ranger, Darth Tabasco, SoulTerror, RA Darkman it wasn't as painful as i though it would be :)
