I just heard that the flood gates (servers) will open across the US at midnight EST on 9/6 (don't know if that includes you, DEEP...).
I'm planning on brewing a cup of coffee, downloading the Day 1 update, and running some campaign for a couple of hours right after midnight.
Just the thought of playing that late made my head feel like a bottle cap had been screwed on to it. Plus I have to get up early and put out the trash can. Sure would like to though.

Servers may be available to you an hour earlier than for the rest of us, due to your time zone... C'mon man, put out the trash early - launch day only happens once!

Think of the 'eye' your wife gives you. There's one of those here too. lol
As much as I'm tempted to take the day off, I think I'll try to treat D2 Day 1 about like any other day. If the first mission is "forced solo" like the beta, I may even start out "offline" (to avoid party chat) so I can savor the experience. I'll go "online" again once I can join a fireteam.

Sounds appealing. Of course, now I know I can taunt you with msg until you respond.
Hard to believe D2 is now less than a week out! I'll probably start in Wed morning (normal hours, not wee ones). Aside from the first day, when I'm pretty sure I'll overindulge, I kind of hope I can work through the content at a leisurely pace this time. But that was my plan on the last expansion too, and I didn't manage to stick to it very long.
Since I don't buy the download version, I'll need to wait for the DVD to be delivered and probably won't be on until late on the 6th or maybe not until the 7th.
Planning on running campaign for a few hours. Can start at 11pm my time. @Hammer I've just seen the clan that Duke put together for 50+ young men. I'm sure we'll get something going shortly after launch. Maybe we'll call it just under 50! Lol.

I re-applied to "The 2old2play Community" clan, currently at 91 members, but haven't been accepted yet. D2 clans are still limited to 100? Anyway, I worry abit about our small community here getting split up between different clans. :(

Clan size is a concern. A clan close to 100 is too full. No room for new members and the whole point of Destiny 2 guided games is to enlist/allow new member growth.
More smaller clans are better but I'm sure 20-50 active members are a sweet spot.
Looks like Deep (and the rest of the Canadians) will be able to play before us in the U.S.
From the Bungie News tonight, "The answer is dependent on where you live. Destiny 2 will have a rolling midnight release across the globe. You will be able to play the game as soon as it is 12 AM, September 6, anywhere in your country or in some cases region. In the US, for example, that means the entire country is live when the clock strikes midnight Eastern."

I saw that. I wonder if it means they're including Newfoundland time. 30 min ahead of Atlantic time.
If Bungie is serious about the "midnight in your country," I presume the Australians will get first crack at D2? Keep your eyes peeled on Down Under video feeds?
What are your launch day plans?

I hear you, DEEP. Say no more

I will be on 12:01 on the 6th to play some story -- it is my birthday after all.

I might get up early and play a little bit before work and then hit it hard when I get home. Oh, and I took Thursday and Friday off too!
...must...finish...Andromeda...
I'm almost there (I think)!
What's the latest on our 2o2p D2 clan?

What class are you guys building first? I'll probably start with the Titan again, but I'm not certain yet. I had fun with all the classes in the beta.
Titan first and only until I get the feel of Bungo's latest offerings.
Warlock master race!
I have changed my mind on this question too many times to count now. But I think I will be building a Titan first.

I think I'll click on it next week sometime Blam.
Titan, just because the Hunter jump in the beta totally sucked.

I was suffering from D2 trailer fatigue, and almost passed on the new live action trailer. That would have been a mistake.
This was probably in the spoiler stuff BLAM posted. Good rule of thumb for the first week.
