Who has Black Armory
Seem like every time Destiny comes out with new content it always has something that I can't get done by myself. It gets frustrating. I've been doing the new Forge from Black Armory with randoms but fail all the time. If anyone needs to do all the Forges I'm always on. Xbox gamertag-Osiris66

I was able to do the Volundr Forge for the first time over the weekend with randoms. It seems like you need to be about 620+ in order to do it. I used Well of Radiance to defeat the boss. Having a shotgun helps a lot also. I'm not planning to do much Forge right now. I'm more focused on ranking up than acquiring new weapons.
I think I'm 614 right now so some leveling up will help. Eveybody seems to use the Escalation Protocol shotgun that I don't have.

It's not necessary to have the EP Shotgun. Actually, I have been using a lot of different shotguns lately. I would recommend a fast-firing one with a fire rate of either 90 or 100rpm. There are a lot of good options: Perfect Paradox, Hawthorne's Field-Forged, Retrofuturist, Basilisk, Zenith of Your Kind, Parcel of Stardust, etc.
Aiming down sights with the shotgun helps since it tightens the pellet spread. I'm also a fan of shotguns that have the auto-loading holster perk like the Zenith and Retrofuturist.
