Cars: Clio RS Spec Build, Mazda MX5, Subaru WRX.
We will begin with some realatively easy and grippy cars, FWD, RWD or AWD. The focus here will be learning your lines and cornering types. Emphasis is on control and consistency.
* Zones of a corner
* Apexs
* Lines
* Target Times
* Basic Traffic Management.
* Smoothness = consistency.
* Skid control
* Track awareness
[2] Advanced Racer
Suggested Tracks: Silverstone GP, Nurburgring GP and Mugello

Here you'll learn to push your skills to try and gain about 2 seconds per lap! Bringing the car to the edge and keeping it there.
* Trail Braking, threshold braking, and no brakes!
* Throttle control - how to use it, when to wiggle!
* Weight Transfer - understand what is happening and how to use it
* Traffic Management + Anticipation.
* Power v's Grip Racing and Drive types.
[3] Pro Racer
Any Track, any Car
Getting those last tenths are cruel - we'll work with you to achieve those faster times. This won't be easier and will require lots of seat time as well as a good understanding of the above.
* Intimidating your rival
* Pushing the car to the limit
* Planning your overtake.
* Defensive driving
* Reading the situation
* Keeping your cool

Bump.
topic Stickied.
I shall honestly say that I fit into the 1st category myself. The other stuff gets into some details I haven't hit yet.
When would you like to get together & what track would you like to work with 1st beef?
I'm available most dys thru the week after 3pm central. Or just about anytime on the weekend except 4central on Saturdays when I have to run my Cayman series.
It doesn't matter where you fit into now, we are more than happy to work with you to bring you new skills. All the above is really just a fancy way of learning how to control a car and putting some names to the various ways of doing so.
I'm available usually after 20:30 GMT weekdays and fairly open on weekends :)
BTW, Why is all of your text colored beef? That color is hard to read on a white background for my old eyes.
Not sure where I'd place in that, but I'm usually in the middle of everything else. I just have to shake loose some time to do it!

Sorry, I will just keep it black then. I work 2-11pm central during the week, so idk what time would be best to practice. Maybe on the weekend sometime then would be best I would say.
would like to take a class or two,feel like i have hit my limit or has all hope given up on me?
Surf and Shark - I'll work with you both.
My training sessions usually last about an hour ish :) After the tonights spec race shark?
ok
Tourni: Sounds great !! I'll msg or pm you when I know what my w/e schedule looks like.
Are you still taking applications for the school guys as i would like to start with Class 1 and work my way up hopefully :)
Steve
Hey steve, We're always open. When is a good time for you? What's your gamertag as well? I'll send you a FR.
You might want to update your profile here with yout GT info.
Hey j, im in England so anytime after 7.30ish GMT would be good for me. My GT is TheBu11d0g.
*PROFILE UPDATED*
I"m not home through the week until about 9-9:30 ish your time. Tourni may be able to sync up on your schedule more easily.
If he doesn't respond here shortly, I'll take you on & we'll get you sorted.
Thanks for the offer mate, much appreciated.
Ideally it sounds like Tourni would be best as his on my timezone but failing that maybe we can sort something out on the weekends as that might make it easier to hook mate.
Yes, definitely. we both have different teaching styles, (tourni explains things much better than I do). So you'll probably learn something different from each of us.
Funny that, considering I'm the one who taught him to drive.
Maybe i could take a class from each of you then lol, Class 1 and Class 1a :)
Always happy to help bulldog - I'll send you a FR :)
Cheers Tourni, i'll look forward to it as i really want to improve my driving :)
I should be around later tonight and we can start on the basics in the clio :)
Ok I would like to sign up for this starting with class 1 . I need the help.
Sure thing in, when would you like to get together?
Thank you Tourni. I've got a race at 7.30 that should be done in about an hour hopefully, or alternatively im around most of the weekend if thats easier for you.
That should work - i should think i'll be on around 20:30 :)
Nice one mate, i'll see you in class then :)
Sorry Tournie but I made an error with my race time, it starts at 8:30 now
Just had my first lesson with Tourni and just wanted to say he really knows his stuff and is a great teacher who knows how to get the information across.
I came away with a lot of knowledge that I can now take away and practice with and it will hopefully start to show dividends with better and faster times with more consistent driving. So a quick thanks to Tourni for the lesson. I look forward to the next one mate :)
Glad you enjoyed it mate, it was a bit of a long lesson but we got alot of the techniques accross. You become noticably more confident with the car and smoother, you'll soon seen improvement in your race times and keeping the car on the track more :)
Thanks for the feedback :)
