I've played it not to shabby so far. Jumpy moments are still there, along with the tension moments. I havent played Silent Hill since 2 so I can't speak on all of the games. Though hearing a tornado siren still makes me feel uneasy.
I've been a long time Silent Hill fan myself, and I've played for about two hours on Downpour. I have to say I'm disappointed. To me it feels like I'm playing a recycled version of Alan Wake. It feels more like Alan Wake than Silent Hill to me, and that depresses me. Hopefully it'll get better as the game goes on. For right now though; I'm really starting to think that the Silent Hill series might be losing it's grip over me. I'll just stick to playing my collection of the old PS1 & PS2 titles, and have a real Silent Hill experience.
never played any of the series. i have been thinking of picking up the hd collection when it comes out.......
you freaking kidding me? ya wait till the HD Collection drops in price and pick that bad boy up.

Also I think its cool as hell that a Silent Hill is coming out on my birthday.

I have not played Alan Wake so my experience differs.
