During a panel at SXSW today, Gearbox revealed that a new Vault Hunter is coming to Borderlands 2. In a teaser shown at the panel, Gearbox teased that "deep beneath Pandora, an experiment has escaped. Bandits beware, a new Vault Hunter is coming. More mayhem awaits."
I know, don't get me wrong different characters are nice, but most people in a game this size just enjoy playing a single character. I love my Maya damnit! Axton and Gaige are neat, but Zero and Sal are just boring as hell. They're so hard to get kills with in a 4 player game, b/c Maya/Axton/Gaige are so awesome.
I want my characters to actually have a "power" like in BL1, Brick did... but ehh.... it wasn't great, lol. By the teaser asking for play testers it sounds like they still have awhile to go. Fucking Randy's been saying for months this has been in the works, he's seriously pissing me off and needs to quit running his mouth.
I'm all for a level cap too, but I gotta admit, I love getting new characters. The big draw for me for Borderlands 2 is the creation of my character and allocating skill points. To me, finding the cool, poweful weapons comes in second.
Also, I gotta give props to Sal. Love the guy. Maybe because he was the first toon I played and got to 50 on.

Right, because we already were told that "Season Pass = Buy 3 get 1 free" not "give us money up front and we will give you all the subsequent DLC for that price even though yall are the fans that make this all happen and you are taking a huge risk that all our DLC will suck ass. So quit asking and give us your money." I'm glad I did not buy the season pass because I would be so pissed right now.
I have went through the story line 3 times already. Really don't want to do it again. I may have purchased DLC for a level bump but after "meh" hamerlock and pirates booty expansions I just don't know.
Ya that's mostly why new characters don't get me excited, you just replay the same content again. And if you've already gotten 2 or 3 characters to level 50 or played a bunch of co-op , you've already done that multiple times. I'd like to be able to progress my existing characters and I can't because of the level cap crap.
I'd rather have my level cap increase :(

Yea a new hunter is cool and all but I would really like the level cap uped by at least 60 but more to 80.

I'll probaby buy the new character when it's released. By the time I'm finished Darksiders II and Farcry 3, I'll be ready to dive back in to Pandora.

I think the funniest thing to do is level up a character, that is where you find the most challenge. I am working on my 2nd.
