Ran a few adventure runs yesterday, mostly with my son and his 58 Crusader ( my Demon Hunter 70) and he ended up at level 63, while my damage went from 226k to roughly 450k (can't remember exactly).
So this was done mostly at his level, don't know if the game adjusted for mine or not, don't think so, but the gear was decent occasionally, and I did improve while watching his back.
Asked Yak, and he said he had 600k base ( this is where you really "know" your place in the universe...)
Also, I looked Yaks skill set up and I said WTH and adjusted mine, only thing diff was I kept vault instead of preparation, and I have to say it IS a great set up. I went from getting my ass handed to me in front of Belial to kicking his and not working up a sweat.
Ended up with over 200 blood shards, well over 200. There were some runs that had bonus shards, not sure if this is normal, or a weekend event?
I guess I'll use some and just see what spits out. Wonder if loading a higher level adventure mode first will kick up the output level of the gear?
Well, I'm up to 618k base damage...gear IS improving...
nothing of value from bloodshards, 300 or so spent...unless you count the crafting materials salvaged.
There are usually two acts that have bonus blood shards. I thinks it's constant, just the acts change. I've gotten 4 legendaries from 2200 shards so far. It's basically free since you're already doing the bounties and rifts anyways. My damage is up to 750 and my toughness over 9 million. Could probably get my damage up but I like keeping my toughness high. Let's me be lazy and not need to run around much.
just got magefists off Kadala tonight, maybe 500 shards so far.
About 619k damage, and roughly 2.5m toughness. As was shown tonight, got knocked down a few times...
It'd be great if we had a LINK post with good sources of info, I'm running blind it would seem...
Backed off to a little over 400k damage atm and raised my toughness from 2.4m to almost 4m, AND looked over my gear, made a couple rerolls, hence the increased toughness, and increases to cluster arrow and hatred regeneration as well. Should be a less stressful build for now, hehe.
Oh, almost forgot, scored a legendary ring that replaces up to 83% of my health"based on lost health" per second or something, annnd the name of it escapes me atm...
Remind me in game and I'll link it, but it is quite handy. Seems to have a little bit of a cool down, I think, but this thing rocks when you're fragile.
Spent the weekend leveling my Wizard up to 70, and started this in normal, was too easy, so I bumped to expert nd that wasn't bad, then I goto a little damage bump so when I completed act5 in expert I bumped to Master, and I been getting my ass handed to me regularly.
Using a magic missile/magic weapon//disintegration/time warp/black hole build with illusion and it's like there's a wall there or something, the mobs just don't melt fast enough anymore and I get bitch slapped occasionally. Damage is around 250k and I'm guessing really needs to increase but the gears just not dropping, probably because I'm not in torment1 yet.
Gear is really better targeted since the update/expansion for what you're playing now, but there is a downside, you don't get the stuff to tuck away for another toon. I was like, when I get leveled up I'll get to raid my stash and gear up, nope. Everything had DH dex on it, crap for an int Wizzie.
That happened to my Crusader. So I just played the puppy and joined a public T1 game and did a few rifts staying alive and picking up gear. Still not great but I can survive for the most part and not get blowed up immediatley by elite packs.
Hopped in with Yak n gang last night on my under powered Wizard and I had a blast! Sudddenly my Wizard was fun!
My boy looks over because I'm just really having fun and he says "oh, you have a crowd control wizard", and then it all made sense....
Of course then Hoplite hops in with his Monk and crowd control wan't really an issue and it was all I could do to keep up.
