Any ME fans reading the new Mass Effect Foundation series? *Plot Spoilers*
I posted this in the ME board but it looked pretty dead, so thought I'd have better luck here. A new Mass Effect comic series just released on Wed. called Mass Effect:Foundation. I picked up my issue, but I'm trying to wait for issue #2 and read them back to back though I may cave soon. It appears to have something to do with Cerberus, a female lead, and the mining colonies on Themia, I think it was. Anyways, those who may have read it, what your thoughts?
Haven't seen it, personally.
Yeah, I'm getting ready to read it, I decided to cave lol.
So I just read the first issue, and it was pretty neat. It's written by the author of ME 2 and 3, and just came out on Wed. For anyone wanting to know here's how the first issue went down:
*Massive First Issue Spoilers*
It starts off on a mining colony called Themis, and a woman is trying to assassinate a man named Roth, for the Shadow Broker. Apparently, the Shadow Broker has just found out that Roth has been funding money to a new terrorist cell that's main focus is "Prohuman" a.k.a. Cerberus. The woman saves what a appears to be a slave boy on the way to kill Roth, they get to Roth's office, but Roth actually used a body double, and the two fight.
The woman is saved by the boy, and they find out Roth has just left the colony. On the way out, the boy asks for a ride somewhere, anywhere, but there, and the female assassin says people can't be trusted, the boy then shoots her in the back. He reveals that's he's actually a girl, and he knows people can't be trusted, but was hoping she could trust her, but apparently not.
In the last panel we see the girl become a woman, the woman named Rasa asks the illusive man for a job, she says she knew a man once who said TIM stood for something, and she wants to stand for something too. Then it ends....
So this appears to be a very interesting comic, and could detail some more of the beginnings of Cerberus, who knows, it supposed to have guest stars every issue, and next issue appears to be Wrex
I am actually just playing thru ME2 for the very first time. I had never played the ME triology and when I saw it on sale at Best Buy I decided to start. Loving the story. I've read the books and had wondered if there were any graphic novels out.
