Sorry to hear the news Wheels! My prayers go out to you and your family!
Kraigger...Have you put the finishing touches on the New Tune?
Kraigger and I did some more testing and he just put the new tune up on his SF. Another great tune!! This should be another very interesting race. lots of straights, lots of corners and uphills..... lots of passing and re passing gonna be going on

Armor/Kraigger...I've picked it up...Going to give it a run today...Thanks!
I ran a 10 laps race and it was a time length of about 18 min. During the race I ran fairly consistant laps between 1:43:350 and 1:43:550 in veteran handicap (-20%).
Armor..Why is that you are still a Veteran with 20%..And the guy (ME) that ran neck and neck with you at amateur (While you were a Veteran) had to jump up to Pro (You stayed the same but I got a 15% Reduction)???...Sounds like a Conspiracy!!!...You should be 35% with that math!
P.S. Did you see where you ended up and where I ended up at the end of the race?
Sounds like a Conspiracy!!!...You should be 35% with that math!
Wheels, math has never been my strong point. So I guess no matter how you look at it....... you are screwed!! JK
Anyways, the handicaps should be and will be looked at each race individually. This is why I have posted my times, so people can go run some laps and get an idea of where they should be and as an encouragement to go learn the track with the car, this would make for a better race. Because as we have found out, if someone comes in and runs the heats and doesn't do well they get a low handicap. Then during the race they learn the car/track and now we have a person who is impossible to race with which is not what we want. Last race I thought the handicaps was pretty close, it was a good race other than DBrown was way ahead in lap time. If we (and when I say we, I mean you) want me in a whole different catagory I can see what we can do. Just letting you know that consistant laps will mean nothing at that point because even if I could pass people there is no way I could stay ahead to the next corner with 35% power reduction. If we had a race like that then I think we are looking for more accidents in the corners. Maybe next race I will stay on the line for a 5 count if thats what people want?? Or, if people are looking at my times as the benchmark and feel I should be in my own catagory and that it is too hard to sort the rest of the field out through the 3 remaining handicaps then I will gladly not compete in the series. One thing I will tell you that when Kraigger and I were testing the car on Laguna, the handicaps really affect lap times there. Uphills kill the veteran car, and factor in a couple cautions and I am at a big disadvantage with those long straights on Laguna. I just want a fair race, I won't lie..... I love to race and I like to win, I think we all do! But I want people to win on fair playing field.
FYI, I am over 3 sec a lap quicker in the amature car..... big difference in times.
Sorry Wheels Veteran is as high a category as we go. You could always try and take him out. Just a thought.
Fitzy...At one time (Couple of races ago when we ran neck and neck) that may of been a possibility but after you, Church and Kraigger keep moving me up and he stays the same now I wouldn't have a prayer . Only way I could do that is if he laps me. I guess now I got to pull a Brownie because everytime you guys move me up the closer I get to last place!
I agree with Armor! When we were testing I was in Pro and Armor was in Vetern and the race was close but I was still faster. The handicaps are not going to be perfect as each racer is different on each track and we only have 4 catagories. The races have been fun and we have had several winners so that shows me we are doing pretty good.
Now that being said things are not always perfect and sometimes drivers get put in the wrong bracket but it happens. It has happened to me and I just race and have fun and don't worry about it.
We (Fitzy and I) try our best to make the field fair and even. If you or anyone thinks it isn't then I am sorry.

Well said young man I couldn't agree more. The main point of all this is to make sure everyone enjoys the racing. The handicaps make for closer racing which is why we do it. Don't worry about Armor I am going to sneak into his pits before the race and tinker with his car.
Gentlemen...It's All Good...Just some Saturday Night BS to get us to Tuesday. I want nothing to change. The truth of the matter is I don't care if I run Amateur or Veteran..End up first or last. Having fun which I do is the name of the game..And fun I have!
P.S. Talk of handicaps is over..My sense of humor is being taken a little bit too serious!

Thanks for the reply Wheels, and I am learning your sense of humor and most of it is taken that way. But I have been in races before with people who make me look like I am standing still, which doesn't bother me (makes me improve), but there have been others in those rooms that quit or are very vocal about it not being fair. A race is a race!! I love a challange, I enjoy racing hard and I race to win, its in my nature (I've been known to be aggressive, but I am learning patience on the track.... haha). But I really want everyone to enjoy what we are doing, I feel bad if someone is upset (also in my nature). Soooo, depending on the groups lap times I may do the delayed start just for the challange, it makes me push it while trying to be as consistant as I can.
P.S. - Fitzy..... you better leave my car alone. I've put security cameras in my pits!!
Sounds like you guys are having fun. Time for Parcells to ruin that.
Why bother re-setting the handicaps each week? Everyone pretty much knows what division they should be in and the minor advantages some tracks provide to a given group should balance out over the course of a series. If or when someone consistently wins or wins easily or is always in the rear adjust them to the next group the following week and carry on.
You could use the current qualy time for some serious practice.

Badass Video Brntguy! Thanks for posting. I don't have a Youtube acct so hadn't seen it. I should probably get one.
Funny, I don't remember making contact with the Angry Birds car (0:54). He came from my blind spot but I probably could have left more room.
Not sure on that one. Sorry if my bad!
Kraigger, if its ok i'd like to try and make the rest of these races. My racing number is 24, any paint that you want to send is fine with me.

P.S...Parcells...PS3 still at shop!
Its all fun.
Î think we redo the handicaps everyone due to people been faster on some tracks than others.
Î don't mind doing the qualification's as its the only practise :-\
Great tune Kraigger!
I did some hotlapping at Laguna and my fastest lap was 1:41:369. The majority of laps were in the 1:42s though.
I'm guessing this will put me in the Pro range but we will see.
I'll try to figure out the online race settings tomorrow so I can practice at -15% and -20%.
