So guys does any one have any advice or strategy they would like to share that could help us?
Iam working on a race tune with a full tank of gas and was able to run a 1.45.9 on the 4th lap, finished 11 laps and it still had 37L of fuel left......not 100% sure but i think it should last the whole race. Ill test it tonite and run a full hr race.
Now the only other things iam not quit sure about is......
1. is there a manditory pit stop
2. Anyone now if 1 set of tires will last a full race? i was pushing pretty hard and only reaching temps of 165, but not sure how fast they wear?
3. If we do need to stop at what point do u think is best? before the midway or around midway?
My thinking was earlier....i could set up a car with less fuel and hope we can use the lighter weight to our advantage and build a lead, than pit and fill the tank and hope to pass the majority when they pit? this is all if we need to pit at all
If you haven't run w/ the guys at R2P yet, don't expect to run from them. There are some seriously fast guys there (I don't know about that specific series though, but everywhere I've run there has been). An advantage to pitting early is it gets you out of traffic into clean air. You just want to make sure that you don't pit so early that you can't make it to the end on tires.
Yup fast guys here too, I was way off the pace, so my stratagy is simple, fill up, and go round and round and hope I'm still there at the end

Well as you know racing is a whole different thing from hot lapping so your looking good. Better than me anyway LOL
So how do you get tire info in 07? I can only see that circular speedo and havent found ant telemetary stuff at all. Would love to monitor tire temps.

Ah thanks mate...now if the game will just load twice in a row all would be well...
for some reason i can get the tool to appear in single player practice but once i race its dissapears....and i cant get the latest version to work without crashing.....was it working for u last night?
Oh I am going to wait a couple of weeks before I give it a try...R07 is fragile enough as it is LOL, I was cursing you this morning when I got up only 5 hours after leaving you guys LOL Fun though, makes practice more interesting and gave me some idea of where I may find another second or so and where I am fine.
