Breaking Bad
Just heard on the RT Podcast that the word is the final season will be split with 8 episodes this summer and 8 episodes next summer.....
I can't see the reasoning behind this. If its over, its over. Just let us see the rest of it.
Did AMC decide to take another look at the ratings this summer and maybe give them more seasons?
I don't know. I can't wait to see how this series wraps up. Last season was incredible.
People, if you have not watched Breaking Bad then do yourself a favor and start watching. This is truly a great show.
I discovered Breaking Bad about a year ago and marathonned all four seasons. It is easily my favorite show on TV now.
AMC ordered a 16-episode season, and I think everyone assumed it was just going to be split like they did with Walking Dead (3 month hiatus). I'm not entirely sure why they made this new decision though - is the budget too much for only one season?
Anyway after Season 4 they set the bar damn high. The show has never once been predictable, but I imagine Hank and Walt will somehow face off in the latter half of this season.
I just started to watch this and am only a couple epis into season one, but I'm loving it!
It only gets better fish.
I just wish Netflix would hurry and get season 4 up.
5 more days. I need my fix of the blue stuff!
Though this show has been great at blowing the minds of its audience, curious to see where others think it may go. It's already been confirmed that............
Mike will be back in a prominent role in the first episode of the season, and Madrigal (the German parent company of Gus' operations) will get involved somehow.
Beyond this, where do you see it going? Where do you want it to go?
I can not wait until Sunday. This show is so good, I can't recommend it enough. DVR set!
All I can say is I'm soo tired of Walt's wife and her fucking high horse. She needs to fucking suck it up!
I just want to see what the LMG is needed for. I'm just glad he has the downloaded instruction manual.
Though I could be wrong, I'm sure we'll find out in the fall.
Of next year.
The thing that Mike was watching on TV in this season's second episode was called The Cain Mutiny.
The summary on imdb; When a US Naval captain shows signs of mental instability that jeopardizes the ship, the first officer relieves him of command and faces court martial for mutiny.
Um, Damn. That ending was just cold. Wow.
Yes it was.
Now they will have the task of keeping the homicide investigation team away from their ocean of gold area
And Walt doesn't even blink. They only downside is now we get to see Jesse whine about it for the remainder of the series.
My prediction: Jesse becomes such a whiner that Mike and Walt both agree he's out and the kid that just did the shooting becomes the new "Jesse" and Walt teaches him how to cook. Jesse then becomes internally conflicted about the whole meth world and goes to Hank and narcs them all out..... End of Series
I just discovered this show in the last few months and got to watching it on Netflix. I couldn't stop. I was watching 3-4 episodes a night. Best show on TV right now. Last night's episode with Jesse at the dinner table was hilarious. Walt's wife needs to F off.
LMAO, that dinner scene was AWKWARD! I was rolling.
Just one more episode left for the year. Sad.
It is sad, but that last episode was good.
It was an incredible episode. Each one is better than the last. This show is not holding back and Walt is clearly out of control. He'll do whatever it takes to be #1.
Walt: "Say my name."
Distribution Guy: slight hesitation...."Heisenberg"
Walt: "You're Goddamn Right..."
That was TV gold.
I laughed out loud. I don't know if that was their intention but the line was so corny (but also very fitting for Walt).
Some cool recurring themes from last night's (mid-)season finale [SPOILERS] http://imgur.com/a/pZZGv
So many questions left to wrap up in only 8 episodes. Who knew Hank's eureka moment would come sitting on the shitter.
I guess we'll find out why Walter needed teh SAW from the the first episode of the season.
BTW, that 2 minute "house cleaning" was pretty bad ass. Tremendous show, I'm just pissed that we have to wait unti next summer for the last 8.
I was a little disappointed with the three-month fast forward. The montage itself was great, but it seemed so contrary to the tone of the show. The first 4+ seasons covered a year in great detail, covering every ripple-effect consequence of Walt's bad decisions. Now he decides to become an international drug kingpin and we don't get to see any of his rise to that point, positive or negative. Instead, it is assumed that there is not one kink in his plan, Skyler just does what she's told, and the DEA's investigation is at a dead stop as a result of the prison montage.
This one complaint isn't going to keep me from enjoying the final 8. Poor Hank has to spend the next 10 months on the shitter! (I'm most looking forward to how he acts toward Walt when he gets out, though.)
I'm assuming there was no issues at that point. He has enough chemicals to make the meth. He has 2 avenues for distribution. His other issues have gone away. What else would there be?
It just seems uncharacteristic of the show to have 3 months go by exactly according to plan. I can buy that Declan and Lydia aren't trying to screw him, and I can buy that the DEA hit a complete dead end.
I think Skyler is bothering me the most about this. She spent the first 7 episodes of the season in a spiral of hatred toward Walt and depression stemming from the situation he put her in. I could only assume that her hatred and depression worsened during those three months - but, he says "I'm out" and she's immediately satisfied with her family life again?
If I'm sounding overly critical of the show that's not my intent. The high point of the show, for me, has always been how Walt uses bad decisions and lies to cover up for his other bad decisions and lies. The end result (at least until Hank takes a dump) was a sugar-coated 3 months-of-happiness montage set to the Shondells. Wasn't expecting it, I guess.
See I don't think Walt put Skyler in this position. I feel like she embraced it and then at some point had a moral awakening and said this isn't right at which point she took some kind of bogus high ground. In case your wondering, I don't like Skyler's take on any of this... you can't have the good (money) and be uppity about the bad. I do think she comes clean to Hank at some point to try and cleanse herself of everything she bought into.
Best fan-made montage ever. EVER.
