BTCC Season 2

ok, here goes.

First race of the season so there were some technical issues. 27 drivers for this race and the server was acting funky so we switched to the practice server. No big deal but then some people got booted and another drivers wheel had no FFB. So we went through quali and a few more issues. Well It is almost 10pm and we haven't started yet, so about 30mins behind schedule and the guy with the FFB issues is still having problems and is in the process of restarting his wheel and this one driver (who i wont name) just goes crazy. Just starts cussing him out and everybody out "Fuck you!, What the fuck man, its almost 11 o'clock"  He is on the east coast and is Latino with a heavy accent. Anyway he starts cussing out Hawks about the time delay and saying that Hawks said on the forums about what time the race will start and its bullshit that we are still waiting.

Hawks is being very cool and calmly tries to explain to him that its the first race of the season and he just needs to relax so that everybody can get connected and race. This guy isn't hearing it and continues to tell him and anybody else that addresses him to Fuck off.  Hawks tries again to get this guy to calm down and then finally him and F1 say "you're done" and ban him from the servers, forums and TeamSpeak. 

This guy hadnt said one thing the entire time. Never said asking about getting started or how much longer are we going to give drivers having wheel/connection issues or anything. He just blows up out of nowhere.  I am not sure how new this driver was to GBR but his times in the V8's were always much faster than everybody else. He is obviously a talented simracer but he was taking himself and everything else way to seriously. I guess he will just have to keep racing at R2P events since he is perma banned from GBR.

On the plus side we all now have a fun little inside joke. Everybody was talking like him during the race and cracking everybody else up.

then everybody on TS would start laughing.  So other than that jerk, it was a good time by all. 

LOL I don't think he was a long time member, never heard a latino accent myself and none of the long term members would be given a perma ban because that would be so out of charector for a regular, somthing would have to be very wrong IRL to act like that. So a time out would be far more likely.

Bound to happen sooner or later, lot of new members so the odds were a bad apple was going to get in sometime. Fortunatly they won't ever spoil the club as they won't last, as this has proved. His loss

Seriously pissed about it Knight. I've spent all week trying to get a RWD BMW on rFactor to work for me and shes pretty much there.

Turns out a race online is not a valid reason not to, turn in for work?

what time do we start the free practice ? what time is 1 pm Mountain time for me  i am in the netherlands , we don't even have mountains in the Netherlands 

i  don't know if i still would take the Honda or the BMW ?   Is it still posible to swicht to the BMW ?

It's not looking good for me, I can see them rebooting the cell and seconds later it crashes again, was on the test server and got booted every five mins so putting back the season start would find favour with me, been looking forward to this for weeks and am fuming here, been hassling my ISP by phone and forum all day, I think they know I am pissed at them.

Maybe make the mosty out of a bad situation by doing a BTCC style media day?

Could get a poster and vid made up to drop onto forums for a final push for more drivers?

Well guys i had a good time on our first race of the season and my first race was quit oke , but my second race  i changed some settings on my suspension and couldn't get around the track well . so have to do some more testing on the car to get to know the car settings better . 

The Sim Racing Gods smiled and with ten minuits to kick off my interwebs sprung into life, had a ball First race was hard work after the coming together on the first lap, it was a fight to get to third but was only a second or so behind second at the finish line. Felt good entering the second race, hit the front after a few laps and was able to run away and spent the last few laps conserving tires and fuel. Brands is my best track, next week Donnington? Not one of my better tracks, can't seem to string a good lap together there so unless I'm lucky it's a drive for points.
