- SEASON 3 -
Super Touring Cars V1.61 ( 1993 Season )
Welcome to Super Touring Cars v1.61
The mod was originally made for Race On by Andreas FSC. This was his first mod and has learnt everything to bring it up to standard. Evo Monkey has then converted the mod to rFactor (With permission). While the original V1.0 release was sketchy, it has now been improved by many helpful people around the community.

Tyre useage is on NORMAL Fuel useage is OFF (Due to AI pitting during the race) AI Strength and Aggression is on 100% Damage on 50% No personal liveries (Youtube video's, easier to attract new drivers when they easily recognise the cars. Results post moved to #41
Last two post are all Mango's work I hasten to add, I just created the thread :)
Thanks for starting a new thread, website wouldn't let me.
Just read the other post in the VTCC thread, my dates under the circuit maps are now wrong as we're switching to bi monthly (woohoo, racing BTCC twice a month now! ).
Yup feels good, and we will keep this going without any major changes and create something solid. It may take a while to build up but the first step is always to have something actually running with regularity. I will edit the dates for you if the sodding site will let me, it not there should be enough activity on the thread prior to each race and I will keep the GBR guys up to speed, as will Chris I'm sure.
Tell you what, how about a compromise on liveries. Run under our own race numbers and names on cars but keep the paint? I admit that Tarten is the go to man so it would be up to him to do, but I assume it would be much quicker to do than a full paint?
I was also having a rethink about it after the test races, and agree the different liveries for human drivers would be good. I would prefer to leave the original AI teams/drivers intact and see if its possible to create new independant teams with new team liveries for human drivers. So the recognised 1993 BTCC cars/drivers will still be in it and scoring points.
As I said before and over at GBR this is a perfect time for me most Saturdays. 2pm is when the wife is taking a nap so I have nothing else to do but either practice for GBR races or race with you guys.
Jimmy said it best:

I'll give the paints a bash.
Problem is alot of car details are contained in the skin, but hey I'll try.
Who wants theirs done first?
Won't be around this weekend though.
Wife's birthday and I'm taking her out for a change lol.
Jumps in quick, usual BRG green Castrol sponsored if poss :) 208 of course.
Me to, I need to do some practice aswell tomorrow. All the test races were on the old track.
Sorry Guys, my mother has been admitted to hospital this morning. I cant race tonight
Sorry to hear that mate, hope it's not too serious and your mum is well soon.
Good times today. Epic battle with Knight in Race 1. We must've swapped the lead twice a lap for the first half of the race until he got a tire in the grass.
Indeed that was the best racing I have had in a long time, and not one touch other than the slightest paint rub now and again, looks like our iRacing curse has finally left us LOL Wanted so much to get more of the same in the second race but tried a little too hard on the start and got waylaid by an AI and gave you too much of a lead, then chucked away two opportunities to close the gap.
1:21.610 to beat.
On what track?
Thruxton
Oh yeah where team mates Knight!
Congratulations
Cool, can't seem to find my mojo on this track, stuck in the 23's still plenty of time to find some more time.
I haven't forgotten about the championship, i've been at the hospital everyday.
Saw the results, and spotted you had run 2 races at Donington. So I'll have to tweak the points table when I get some time.
P.S
The dates under maps in the first post are just text, so easy to change the date to the correct dates
Sorry guys, my mother passed away on Sunday. I wont be taking part for a few weeks whilst sorting out her funeral and the legal stuff.
The server will still be up for you guys to race, and I will make a return once the majority of legal stuff is sorted out.
Good Luck All
Sad news indeed, many condolencies to you and your family.
First of all, Sorry for your loss man.
Second. I can't make todays race, shoulder is still really sore.
Sorry to hear
Translation..."I forgot" LOL Not a great race for me, AI took me out on second lap and sent me to the back and spent the rest of it fighting my way back, a bad start was a real cause leaving me swamped by AI and that was never going to end well.
Yeah you were bloody fast through that section of the track. It was all I could do just to keep the bugger on the track. All things considered, it ended up being a heck of a race. Too bad Knight decided to go on a date with the AI, he could've been at the party with the rest of us.
Sorry to hear Mango. You were missed.
