Citroen DS3
I was playing with my DS3 last night on Suzuka, and I can't seem to get that thing to stay on the track to save my life. I think it's at A600 wih aero, race tires, and all the goodies, but does anyone have advice / tips on what works and what doesn't when tunig a FWD car like this one? It's got plenty of power, and brakes *ok*, but damn, you turn the wheel, and you might as well be on ice.. Or is it the way I'm driving it? I dunno. Any help is appreciated.
Don't make it A class
With a few exceptions A class is generally where FWD really goes pear shaped. There's simply too much power to available grip on those poor overloaded fronts. Try scaling it back to B class, and see what you can get there.
I was thinking of using ot for the Suzuka Rivals Event this month. It was a car that I own and didn't need to go buy and mess with. As a B class car, it's a lot of fun, but bumped to A, it feel prety much worthless unless I'm driving in a straight line. I see lots of cars on the Suzuka Sportbacks with the Clio RS.. Anything else out there worth 2 shits to run that one? I wouldn't bother usually if there wasn't a car to be won, but I enjoy Suzuka for some strange reason, and I don't know why...
I have to agree with PAPs, over B in FWD is rough going
There are only 10 cars in the top 600 that aren't Clio's, and the bulk of those are Megane's. I'd suggest a Clio if you want to guage how well you could do in the event. Anything else and you're putting yourself at a sizeable disadvantage.
My guess is that the Clio RS's have been RWD swapped as well, so you're not really looking at any FWD cars in there.
I will have to get a Clio and give it a shot I guess... So many cars, so little time...
