I just got the Clio's loaded tonight, ran a few laps and I am getting the hang of them. I should be able to make this event, but will be leaving about 1:30 to go pick up relatives at the airport. If i have to leave the second race early that's fine with me. Just want to get some good laps in.
Pit startegy paid off huge in the two races allowing me to get out ahead of knight both races and hold on.....first race i had a pretty comfortable lead for the second half, but the 2nd race i had knight breathing down my back for for the last 10 laps.....
On another note Neverender turned things around and finished his 1st race in 5th Congrats m8!!!!!, too bad u couldnt have stuck around for the 2nd race

No worries mate, it was just like being in one of my Forza series, chaotic but fun. I really messed up both pit stops, first by taking on fuel, silly. Second I suddenly decided to pit at the last minuit and then remembered I should have warned my crew so came back on track with my limiter still on, that little feck up cost me ten seconds and a sure first. But great fun, so much of a change to have a series that I feel at home in. Most things I do I am like a fish out of water.
Got to agree it was good racing even with the AI. Seem to have figured out how to get past them. Very surpriased with the two 3rd places especially having done no practice with the clios.
Yeah, no practice in Clio's for me either. Had some decent races...despite the electronic stuttering for sound. On the plus side, another Window update later in the day seemed to have fixed the issue.
Tips on how to get Auto-clutch to turn on in Multiplayer? These pitstops are killing me. Even pulling into the pit stall w/ the car in N, it still kills the engine...then I can't restart the car until the pit work is complete.
Not sure I don't use auto clutch?
What I do....
Turn auto pits off
Map a button for pit lane limiter
Map a button for pit request
Map a button for presets
During race I request pit, pull up my menu and select preset, once I hit pit lane the limiter kicks in I confirm my setting before parking, down shift to first, right before I park I engage my clutch and work the break...the sec I stop they start my changes then I sit there reving till there done iam avgs. 15-18 pit changes for tires when I remeber to pre confirm my settings :)
I checked the settings and auto clutch was not checked for the server, but I do recall knight saying he uses it? Best to ask him since u both use fanatecs

I was so excited to just be able to finish a race, let alone finish 5th. My display was messed up so I couldn't see what position I was in, or what lap I was on or how much time was left. I have since resolved that. But I was in 3rd until i blew a corner and saw mel whiz by. Then I made the mistake to look behind me only to see helios quickly gaining ground and I blew another corner. If I had just paid attention to my driving and ignored who was behind me I might have finished fourth. I will try to make the next clio cup for sure.
Would anyone be opposed or would it interfer with other races if we moved this sat race back 30 mins possibly 1hr ?
I have a docs appointment at 10 am and not sure if ill be back in time all call tomorow and see if i can get in earlier as well

If you can make it back before 1 you should be able to make it...i have a doc appoint. in the morning and were pushing the start time back an hr to noon my time...1pm yours 7pm uk
I work about 45 mins from my house but if i can make it i will. If i am not online at start time then by all means start without me. This is my off series and I had no time in the clio on this track at all because I knew I wasn't going to make this race.
I just did some laps at donington in the clio and my best is 120.464. I was having a tough time keeping on the track. I tried to do a race with the AI at 98% and the AI was having a tough time on turn 4 (old hairpin) in lap 2. They were fine in lap 1, but lap 2 they always had a huge pileup there. I am hoping to make the race since we moved it back an hour. Should be interesting.
I should be able to make it.

I will also do some laps over this week instead of just spending 1hr before an event on a game I have never run before. lol

OK, I picked my car and put it on the sign up sheet. Hopefully no one is using it. as I noticed there were only a few claimed.
