The Scooby and the NSX react very differently to turning during an elevation change. The Scooby lifts and the NSX slides. Not much we can do for the Scooby except crank the rear aero down to max, softening the sway bars and suspension may help the NSX. The Honda kills the Scooby on acceleration but doesn't roll the corners like the Scooby can...I was in 2nd way too much in the NSX.
My 240Z negotiates the elevation changes fine but it is overpowered and tends to lose traction if the drivers hits the gas too soon, making it a bit more unpredictable than the other two cars. Keep in mind that the lap times are standing starts so we could knock off another 2 secs on a running lap. I only tapped one wall coming out of the second tunnel with the Z so it was nearly a clean lap, but nowhere near the #250 mark. I'm gonna throw a quick tune on a RWD Supra RZ and an AWD tune on a 71 GTR and see what happens. I'll keep ya posted.
The best time I have managed so far has been in the Supra, which is smooth as silk in the corners even when negotiating elevation changes...but it is a very wide car, which is unfortunate since every square inch of track is at a premium in one of these events. The GTR is small, grippy and capable. If we are committed to the Scooby we should keep in mind that it is the least capable of all cars I have tested this evening and I would pick one of the smaller cars, the Z or the GTR as a second, alternate tune. That Sub-Zero design kicks ass...where can I get one?
Monkey ran a clean 9:08.xx for #21 on that Track Days LB on his self-tuned AWD Scooby. Very few people are going to beat him no matter the tune. Just wanted a Scooby tune that is fast enough to run the challenge, and secondarily, would work on the Sub-Zero reward car! Two birds with one stone thing.
2nd part of the challenge was to beat his clean 9:08 with any dirty lap. We've scraped this now since there is no way for us to tell if someone uses rewind.
3rd part is to beat his clean lap with a stock NS-X (10:03.xx) with any tuned car. That's why I asked for an NS-X tune first.
I'm leaning towards this based on Jones testing and suggestions:
1. RWD Scooby tune from Jones/F1SH0 2. AWD Nissan GT-R (with matching WWII Kate livery!)
Sub-Zero paint is the reward for beating Monkey in the upcoming challenges. I'll pull some strings and see what I can do for you club members.
Don't run anything yet on the actual challenge! The contest has not started, and what you run now may not count. It's something Monkey is putting together with me--T10 isn't involved. You can Hot Lap with Jones' GTR tune to give us feedback (or adjust if necessary!) if you want. I think we're going with that instead of the NS-X since we also have a ready made livery for it.
So what should I run next if i\I try this again? NSX or 22b?
I own and LOVE Scoobies and they have been my car of choice in every Forza so I would love to take that on, but I don't want to neglect the NSX if that is still something to consider.
I would love to try my own Scooby but don't want to negate the tune that is already being run. I have a tendancy of throwing my own together before I get a club tune to test so I want to avoid that although I L.O.V.E Scoobies.
Anyway.. I don't know what we are aiming for overall, but let me know, send the tunes if needed or tell me what we want and I'm good to go.
I WILL run this again. I WILL run one version with no blocking and one with so I just want to know what to focus on. I really dont' want to run this a ton, so one car is ideal for me especially seeing that new monthly rivals statred (more things I want to attempt that are not on Fujimi!)....
Hi Jones/M3, please can one of you let me know if the GTR tune for Fujimi is in the garage, I would like to have a go at hotlapping this tonight if poss.

Just got word that Monkey will announce the challenge on Friday (he's in the UK). So just about a day left to test the next couple of Monkey Challenge tunes.
I took the GTR out last night and tweaked it a bit. Like it a lot, and it looks killer on Fuji with the Roo65 WWII Kate livery! I sent it to F1SH0 for further work and/or feedback. This may be my imagination, but I feel like it's smaller than the NS-X and easier to go between cars or squeeze through between cars and rails/walls.
71 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R AWD. Will send you the tune when I get home tonight. That tune is for Fuji, and I know you hate Fuji!
And there are no shortcuts to the smilies anymore. Site admins are pulling icons off the Rich Text now instead of UBB.
I just put out feelers for a S-class Autocross tune for that Unicorn prize Bounty Hunter this week. But it's one of those that a bajillion peeps (especially that "SMS Flunky" guy) are hawking their tunes for. But all those posts are being drowned with the voting posts right now. I'm not sure we want to waste too much time with this Rivals tune.
I planned on running that event anyway and will have a decent tune. I was thinking LB tune along the Zagato line since I do want to build and tune one of those. I might also work on a versitle Skyline for Laguna and this if that is feasible and if I can find one that allows RWD at the same time as the transmission addons (stupid bug that when converting to RWD the trans, clutch, drivetrain and diff are not selectable anymore). I forgot the first one I tried that had that issue but haven't tried the other 2 (the 2010 Skyline GTR does not exhibit this).
Hey psyber--could you delete your latest post off the Catalog thread? Would like to keep that thread clean for release info only. Thanx.

I'll try and run some laps in the C Miata on a couple tracks later today if I can get the time. If not, probably tomorrow. They won't be top 50 like some of our folks can post so they won't be as impressive to note comparably but I am sure they will be top 300-500 like the Honda tune.
Side note: I haven't had time to put into a drag tune this month but noticed that there sees to be a R3727 Lotus that might be floating around the club. If someone has that, could I get a copy please?
I think we will skip posting lap times on the Miata and just generally say Top 100 to 250 (Simon got #68 at Maple Valley with it) since the upcoming CiViC is faster.
I have two drag tunes for rivals--one from Track and another that was from my FL (different club). Track has an Elise in the Club Garage with the tune, but he's still tinkering with it. Murph modded that tune, and he's at #66 with a 14.965. Track is #137 at 15.032. The other tune I got is supposedly #32 @ 14.8, but I haven't tried it. I usualy use Monthly Rivals Drag to mine Fredits, so I'm waiting for more peeps to post times so that I can maximize the mining operation.
Thanx to all for the help downloading and rating the F1SH0's C425 Miata tune in my SF. I saw that it was listed in Top Rated before I left for work this morning. I will be posting the release info in the TM on FM.net soon. If any of you want that Auction-House only PaiNkiLLer Jagermeister livery, please message me.
Track sent me the tune and I ran it as is and pulled a 15.1 something first try and 3 attempts after tot he same result.
I tweaked the tires and re-ran and pulled a 15.082 (#194) with it.
I see a few things I would like to tweak and know it can go at least .1 faster with some luck and minor tweaks. Good build! My build was .2 lower in top speed - I missed something in mine and this build is good but the tire pressure tweaks made me hook better (standard drag tire pressure set front 55 rear 35 (35 for drive wheels always it seems and max on non-drive wheels).
Anyway....... I will try to tweak it a bit more but I would definitely recommend the tire pressure change. That's just me.
Need to get F1SH0 CiViC launched next. With the LB wipe ongoing, here's where that tune is with the LB wipe: Nurburg GP Short (#26 swhite014) Silverstone Nat (#8 swhite014)
Both Top 50 at Indy from swhite and Murph will jump up as soon as that LB is wiped of Z28's as well.

Is anyone able to post that Lotus in the East garage for the Rivals event? I'll buy one if that's what's needed.
No problem--I'll get it over to you tonight. For one-beeee-leon dollars or Mr. Bigglesworth gets it!
Scratch that last one.... I wasn't comfortable sending someone else's tune out without asking first so I went back to my build and found the issue I had (too much weight from unnecessary front wheel width and rim size - just a brain fart when building) . Once the build was squared away I tuned it out the way I normally try to tune for drag events this time with no over exaggerated camber or toe. Geared to run to 5th without redlining at the end (181-183 I think it tops out at the 1/2 mile line).
To launch hold RPMs at 2500 or as close as possible, wait for GO to appear (almost instinct) and just floor it. Shift at redline without bouncing any gear and go, go go!
You can use the hold at higher XXXX RPMs (3500, 4500 and even 6000) and catch back at 1500-2000 as well, but if you get the timing on "GO", the lower RPM holding and old age should be enough reaction time to catch at that 1500 RPM area anyway. 6 to 1, 1/2 dozen or the othter really. I am leaning more to the GO approach as at least for me it is less frustrating and much more consistent. The higher RPMs with the lower catch helps more or less for the reaction time you have to go back on full throttle but the lower the initial hold RPM is (closest to catch RPM) will be the faster times you run I find.
Anyway... gifted to a bunch of you. Feel free to share in your respective garages or pass to other 2Old folks.
EDITED TO ADD TIME:
lmao, kinda forgot to say what the build/tune did for me
I know psyber will be running it! Especially with the Scoobie Sub Zero and now this NSX-R GT livery on the line. Who else?
There are two free tunes in my SF that you can download and use: Sarcasmo Jones and F1SH0 tuned RWD 1998 Subaru Imprezza 22B STi Sarcasmo Jones tuned (tweaked by me) AWD 1971 Nissan 2000GT-R with matching Roo WWII Plane livery
Mazda MX-5 C425 has been well received so far. The PaiNkiLLer Jagermeister livery is doing well in the AH. BTW--if you have that paint unlocked, please don't pass it around. I already have several people messaging me about getting it unlocked and we're NOT going to do that!
Trying to follow this thread is like watching two flies try to fuck... Sporadic and erratic all at the same time.... Rocket, is all the good stuff on your SF? The Rivals Drag tune, etc? I am no tuner, that's for sure, just looking for something to be competitive and hve a little fun. (That Autocross event would be fun too.. Any ideas on a worthwhile ride?) If I don't have the car, I'd e willing to buy one, just not as aware of the cars avialable to me me as the rest of you aliens.. :P
All the club releases to the general Forza community are in Kurupt CDN's or my SF. Anything you find in either of our SF's is "polished" and tested for wide release. Lots of other tunes that we have floating around are either personal tunes or one-offs that will be in various individual's SF or gifted around.
I have no less than 3 or 4 different tunes for this month's Rivals Drag. I think psyber's is the latest and probably easiest to drive. I'll gift it over to you tonight.
The T10TailHappy is an S-class, and plenty of tunes will beat the current time set with a stock Viper SRT. We have several in our club garage from Ziggy. His 458 is very stable and easy to use and I beat the current time on the second try with it. I'll reach out to Ziggy and try to get you that tune. Someone in the East Club might also have a tune since a couple of them are up there in that LB.
We try to help everybody here at 2O4F. So if you have a request, just post it here, and someone will probably just gift you the tune if we don't already have one in the SF's!
All the Top 100 times our drivers posted with Kurupt's Elan D350 have been wiped off most LB's due to the T10 PI problem. Our build was NOT affected because we used a "legal" build, but the times are wiped anyways since they have no way to determine whether any of the Elan's in the LB was glitched. Bah--now all you see are Sparks!
B500 05 elise good to go....couple top 50 times!
B500 opel needs work pushing bad and not rotating
C425 VW golf pretty much finished just needs a few tweaks, very competitive lobby tune
D350 rx7 took it online it did pretty well
I thought monkey ran a 9:06 clean on that event.... does that change anything?
Here's the lowdown thus far...
Scooby 8:39.528 clean
NSX 8:38.969 clean
240Z 8:38.459 dirty
The Scooby and the NSX react very differently to turning during an elevation change. The Scooby lifts and the NSX slides. Sorry, I tend to get lost in a sea of acronyms at work and in the game so they tend to be a blur sometimes.
What tune is that? Can you gift it over please?
I will have time later tonite to run sober laps so if you need a specific test or build let me know so I have some purpose when I hop on.
Side note: anyone know what the shortcuts for smilies are?

Posted the 1994 Mazda MX-5 Miata release in the catalog here: http://goo.gl/uAmg0
I need some more laps times before I post this up on FM.net. Did anyone else other than swhite014 have any times for me for the C425 tune?
The free tune is posted on my SF already. Please download and rate before I post the general release on FM.net and get the hate raters out.

Monkey's challenge is now active: Sub Zero Triple Fujimi Challenge. Beat the Monkey.. Deadline is April 15th--3 part challenge, but beating part 2 should be easy, and you could win this livery:
