Dark Souls
Released: 10/4/2011
Platform: PS3/360
Is everyone digging From Software's latest action-RPG?
I've been playing it since release and have been close to the edge of tossing my controller a few times, but have always come back and picked it up again and managed to move the sticks forward a bit.
Here are a few guides if you want more information:

Prepare to die.
I want to get this, because it taunts me.
But I don't want to get it, because I value my controllers.
I'm with Shadow on this.
I'm so tempted but I'm worried that it will demonstrate that these days my gaming skills are average at best! It's a pure vanity thing in my case!![Wink Wink](http://v3.2old2play.com/sites/all/libraries/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-wink.gif)
I think if Skyrim wasn't so close I might have picked it up.
I think I'll get it in some Amazon super sale sometime, in a few months. If I hate it, I can just resell it. Or maybe I'll find a way to rent it first. It's not like I don't need to finish Gears 3, Batman, BF3, Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Halo CEA, and ACRev first or anything. ;)
I think I would like this but I just dont have the time. I have Demon souls and have barely played it. This seems to be the type of game where you need to devote a good few hours every time you play.
It is time-consuming, to be sure.
I have seen it at local RedBoxes in my area (game/DVD rental areas) for $2 a night. Can't go too wrong with that. You can at least get through the tutorial area and get a false sense of accomplishment.
Anyone still play this?
yup off and on, i have a pretty good sized backlog of games though so im trying to shuffle through all of them.
I am apparently too high a soul level to really help anyone (199),but absolutely love this game...
working through backlog, keeping this in mind for the future.
just bought a copy for cheap from gamefly, should be on the way soon.
got this today from gamefly , gonna dive in later tonite .
Are you prepared to die?
Yeah, as long as I take something with me , there does seem to be a steep learning curve , hampered by renting and not having an instruction manual/ guide guess I need to do a lil reading for this .
It's just a very frustrating game. Some parts you'll be doing 100+ damage and killing enemies in 2 hits then in the very next stage you can't do 10 damage and everything destroys you. There's no middle ground, you're either way too strong or way too weak.
What version are you playing? I can help on either platform. I love this game.
whatever you do dont get in a fight with the dude standing by the fire towards the beginning of the game, holy crap that dude took me almost a whole week before i could finally beat him. respect the enemy, learn there fighting patterns and dont rush the game because your just going to end up dead and not able to get your souls back.
picked this back up and delved into it. Currently Level 33 knight, and just beat the Capra Demon. 11ish hours in.
40+ hours in. Level 65ish. At O&S.
finally 1000GS this game. Took 138 hours.
I'm SL138, so if you are around that level and need help or some weapons, let me know.
