I just read that xbox hasn't updated the achievement list so if you unlock any for Dawnguard, you will have to go back later and recover your account, then play through again to unlock them. Same bullshit that happened with Fallout 3 DLC. Nice to see Bethesday/MS doesn't learn from their mistakes.
My character, who is a werewolf, contracted vampirism somehow....werewolves are 100% resistant to disease. I have no access to the vampire lord skill tree but daylight is kind of a pain in the ass. Anyone know how to get rid of it?

That is one of the bugs with Dawnguard unfortunately. I guess the beta test didn't go so well.
Well...shit. I have the game saved in several places. I guess I'll have to back back to a point where I know that I only have lycanthropy and proceed from there.
So, it Dawnguard woth the $20? I'm not necessarily that interested in the vampire story, but more interested in new weapons, skills, items and can I finally build a custom house to display all my cool goodies?

Dawnguard is worth the $20...you almost always get your $$ worth from Bethesda. The answer to the custom pad question is no...there will be no Chateau de JTGJR in the expansion...there aren't even new houses to buy. That being said there are exploding crossbows, a mystical bow that can blot out the sun and horseback combat. I agree with your lack of enthusiasm for the story...it does have a "been there done that" sound to it...but oh, the places you'll go and the things you will do with your new powers are just delicious. Nobody delivers on DLC like Bethesda, and Dawnguard is worth every penny.
Just happened to be online (PC version) when Bethesda surprisingly dumped Dawngaurd on the Steam marketplace after saying they had no release date planned. August 2nd was a good day. Really good kit and some of the best looking armor and weapons to date (aside from some of the mods). Didn't have any wierd glitches either, Bethesda must have used the consoles for Beta so they could get it right for the PC market (joking).
I'm kinda nervous about buying it on day 1. Bethesday is not known for producing glitch-free DLC.
I think I'll get it this weekend...

Nevermind, looks like they are working.
I downloaded this morning but havent played through.
How does Dawnguard start?
have to go somewhere, or some random NPC come up w/quest?
I loaded up my game and traveled to the nearest city. When I got there, an NPC came up to me and started talking about Dawngaurd
Go talk to any guard in any major city. They will mention something about the Dawnguard and the quest will start.

That's weird.
Anyway, there is a quest to get rid of it
