Defiance xp boost for everyone ?!

I was in the micro-transaction menu in game and noticed something odd.  I just got the $60 edition, no season pass, no bits cards.  The only xtras i got were the spore gun and dodge charger for pre-ordering and i got the arkfall codes for typing in all 120 codes and linking my account.

Anyways I'm in the microtransaction menu and beside XP Boost it has a counter that was at 70 hours or so when i looked at it.  Then it says 'current xp boost' 10% and something like xp boost with purchase 10%.  Now if i go to the next boost which is for the money boost, there is no timer, it says current boost is 0 and boost after purchase 10%.

So to me, i tlooks like i'm getting a 10% xp boost but I don't know why.  Is this a special launch week thing, something i got from the arkfall codes or an apology from Trion for a shitty launch or maybe a beta participation reward?
