dun... dun.... dun dun
WHY are so many moronic NPCs knocking on walls, doors, windows in Sanctuary? IT's starting to get slightly annoying, the theme music of Sanctuary is dun... dun... dun dun as 3 or 4 morons are knocking on the surfaces of the city in different areas.
If there's not some undiscovered easter egg thing related to this, it needs to be patched. NOt sure why they would even waste their time coding something like this if it doesn't have a purpose. I've been trying to search to see if there's some easter egg related to this activity but so far haven't found anything.
Agree. Was talking to Michael Mamaril (sp?) getting a shiny new gun and there was one of those "knockers" on each side of me. It was like a twisted version of Row, Row, Row your boat going off in my headset.
I came across a mission where that animation was relavent and it seems it just got shuffled into the random npc actions. Makes me not want to drink the water in sanctuary.
While we're on the topic of annoying ass NPC things, what about the dude that stands right infront of the slot machine for no reason? All he does is walk over and stand between then and stare at the machine forever. When all you're trying to do is go from one machine to the other it makes it really annoying to have to walk around him.
I keep hoping the grenade that pops out of the machine will kill him but nooooo.
I asked my buddy who works for Gearbox about this. He said to the best of his knowledge, there is no easter egg associated with them knocking. They put that in there to make the city feel more "alive". Which probably means they ran out of time to do code and sound for every individual in Sanctuary.
A buddy at gearbox??==win!!
Just sayin, i dont have game industry buds.
