where do i get a Pi558 tune for a focus then? Fitz kindly gave me a Renault to use fro practice but as of yesterday I couldn't find one.. will go online shortly and have another look as I know somebody said they were going to gift me the tune or the car I can't remember.
LoL no rush, just kidding I have all the time in the world,
just out of interest do privateers have to display a different colour number background to pro drivers ie: white = Pro, yellow = Privateer, or carry a different livery of some sort, just something that crossed my mind, so thought I'd ask.

No you don't have to, the privateers run in a different room than the factory drivers.
Thanks Snappy for the car and paint, just getting to grips with it, I had lots of understeer but think I've sorted it, was doing 59's, now average lap is low 57's and a best of 55.556, so how does this compare to others in this class, I know i'm going to be well of the pace, but just wondering how far.
It sounds like whatever team Kurupt is on does not have a replecement with Dai Bongo unable to make it as well (I think that's the case). Your best bet might be to gift sWhite whatever car these guys run and have him race for that team...my reasoning is sWhite is by far the fastest of the privateers so he could easily figure this car out in 5 minutes and still be competitive in the Main room...hell, he could easily win
Bongo - sorry you can't make it but have a great day with the kids and volleyball. Wish them luck from us.
Greg/Rustybelly - you're in. I'm sure the lag issues won't come up. Looking forward to racing with you.
Parcels and sWhite - sounds like a plan to me guys. I'll get on now and try to reach you swhite. Gotta get one of the Fords over to you.
I'll be checking this thread from now till rac time. Post up if there is an issue guys. Thanks.
Other than Ashley getting screwed on a lag incident while in a tight battle with Crown about the half way mark the Privateers race went pretty well. Replay sent to Snappy and on my storefront. Finishing order below...

Likely because you did not have me in the room to inject a little chaos.
Discussion of my driving style aside, I did find it a very exciting and enjoyable race in the 'factory' room
(apologies to emcee, chosen, etc, etc)
But my biggest accomplishment was actually tuning that car to make it driveable on Suzuka East (at least for me).
In fact I was so proud of my effort I posted the tune on my store front which I think is a first for me.
So at the very least Snappy's race series has helped me take a big further step in my new career as a tuner
Thanks for a great first outing in this event, had a good race all in all, was closing in on Crown every lap, then on lap 15 was just about to put a move on him whem BAM, crown lagged right accross the track in front of me, taking my front wing with him, then BAM Ashley runs into the back of my stricken car, whole of rear end of car gone, including the wing, also gearbox, break and other damage, manage to get round the next two laps before pitting on lap 18 when the pit window opened, all repaired except no areo, thought I was going to end up just making up the numbers and running around at the back of the field, but apart from lack of grip, especially on the last hairpin onto the home straight I was laping at a decent pace, and managed to get back to 3rd place, more than happy with the result, and no blame placed on crown at all, lag is just one of those things that happen, I dare say I will get a bit of luck one day, just have to take whats thrown your way.
so Thanks guys for a very enjoyable race, cant wait for the next round
That was a good race today. I was glad we were able to field 15 in the Factory room and still have six Privateers run in their room. We had a couple incidents but to tell the truth; I had expected it to be much worse.
In two weeks we will hit the Alps. I am considering keeping that track but switching to running it forward rather than reverse. The climb up the hill just might be too much to overcome with a 10 or 15 percent HP handicap. In the forward configuration it would then be a downhill run and that could alleviate the problem. I will be testing. Your feedback is always appreciated as well.
So, congratulations to the top finishers. Nice job. See you in two weeks.
OK Gents, the standings have been updated with tentative results (pending Snappy's review or and challenges). http://tiny.cc/vpaucw
RadoHuey leapfrogs two drivers to take over sole possession of first place in the driver's championship with a slim 3 point lead. Thechosenfamily had a rough day and slips from first to a tie for fourth.
Things are getting really tight for the constructors championship with Seat making up 5 points on leaders Vauxhall and pull within 9 points. But lookout of Subaru who closes the previous 9 point deficit to second place to a tiny 2 points.
#!@$% lag spikes!!! 2 out the 3 races lag spikes have done me in!! This one had to happen on the 29th lap while I was in 3rd. Still had a good time though and congrats to Raddo.

Yeah that was a real bad accident. You was about 100 ft in front then u went on the grass and shot 100ft up in the air and landed just behind me in the middle of the track.

Unlucky gizzi got past you
Gizzi had a well thought out plan for this race. BTW Church it was fun starting at back with you, I just followed you through all the carnage to front of the pack. Some good racing until the @#$@% lag spike..lol
Sorry i didn't make it, Went to watch the BTCC @ Donnigton and didn't realise the last race was at 5:15! didn't get home till late adn was absolutely shattered!
Wow. What a race. I couldn't believe the carnage coming off T1 on lap 29...there were cars everywhere. Fortunately I was able to snake my way through, went from 9th to 5th where I was able to hang on till the end. More than happy w/ the result for the first time behind the wheel of the car, and a default tune. Bummer about the lag though.
Snappy, keep Bongo as the Ford replacement driver, since he is the official back up. I'd like to remain in the privateer room if possible to try to maintain my bid for the privateer championship (Parcells is getting close now ). I certainly didn't mind filling in yesterday, especially when most of the other lead contenders were absent from the Privateer race (except Parcells) anyways. At least this way Knight can return for the next race and not be brutally in the hole.
Lap 29 was quite a mess. As I was coming out of corner 1 i saw boza flying up in the air. He landed right in front of me. I couldnt avoid him. went from fifth to last. I had major damages. had to crawl my way to the pits. All and all I had a fun race.
Right Knight is back and baying for blood...I had that last one in the bag, cause if Parcells won...well we all know he can't touch the Knight/Seat combo. Be prepared to be utterly crushed in the next one Parcells!!!
I thought Gizzie was gonna send you a focus?
didn't get it.. doesn't matter.. seems as though Snappy will be putting them up soon..

ah right, thanks for that, just as well when you think I will be on track LOL

Hey Snappy. I can make the race today. just checking if you already found a replacement . If you have, I dont mind sitting this out. greg

swhite may have to fill in for me today on Team Honda. I'm dealing with a family health issue.
maybe next race I'll remember the room settings, but not today....collisions ON & damage limited right???
what is our pit window?
sorry to hear that M3 hope all is ok

If anyone notices a mistake please PM me.
Was a good race really enjoyed it.
In regards to changeing the track layout no matter which way you do it you will have a large hill to go up?
Cheers

You're the only one who thinks that Knight. Welcome back.
I'll give you the alps track but Silverstone is mine bud!!!!!!!!!!!
