[FM4] Friday Night Track Night 21:00 EST [FINISHED]
Welcome to the 2Old4Forza Friday Night Track Night!
Since there is not much going on Fridays and with the success of the Euro version on Wednesdays, I'm going to host a North American time friendly event that will start at 9:00pm EST and runs till around 11:00pm EST every Friday.
On the night a track will be chosen and that track is ran all night, starting from F class cars and running all the way up to R1 cars. (In total there will be 10 races per evening)
You can jump in any time you like and catch the next race.
This event is a purely a fun event and its a good place few new drivers to start, to test new cars you are tuning, to have fun or to just get used to racing with other clean drivers*
In addition to the existing concept of a single track while we race in cars from F class through R1, I'm going to add a Manufacture Challenge to the mix on selected Fridays
WTF is a Manufacture Challenge you ask??? Simply put, for those that want to, you run every race in a car from the specified manufacture. The Manufacture Challenge is purely optional. If you want, you can still run the track night races in any car from any manufacture however, I encourage you to give it a try. For those that do accept the challenge, you will start the race in the first grouping. You don't need to paint or have your number on the car and no silly rules other than race clean and as Prebuilt always says, don't be a dick!
The track on every second Friday each month will always be the Nurbergring Nordschleife (Ring Night)
Tracks raced so far and selected manufacture:
- 9/20/13 - Suzuka Full
- 9/27/13 - Bernese Alps Festival
- 10/04/13 - Nurburging GP / Porsche
- 10/11/13 - Nordschleife / BMW
- 10/18/13 - No Race
- 10/25/13 - Camino Viejo Extreme / Ford
- 11/01/13 - Sebring Full / Chevrolet
- 11/08/13 - Nordschleife / Nissan
- 11/15/13 - Silverstone GP / Aston Martin
- 11/22/13 - No Race
- 11/29/13 - Mugello / Ferrari
- 12/06/13 - Hockenheim Full / Mercedes-Benz
- 12/13/13 - Nordschleife / Porsche
- 12/20/13 - Catalunya GP / BMW
- 12/27/13 - Road America / Chevrolet
Thanks
Nice
I noticed the bold print has an asterisk right after the phrase "clean drivers*" but no explanation to the reference. What does that mean Grimm? What are you trying to get Parcells into? :)
p.s. Ring night is stupid...I need to leave now.
Well, if Parcells is out I'm in...
This is great! I will skip ring night as well though. All night on the ring is a job, already have a job. :)
The ring is only tough if you make it tough. This is a great way to improve your skills at the track.
That said, any suggestions for the track this week?
Gets so spread out your just driving by yourself! I probably do some though... Maybe
In the lower class cars, its actually very close on when we run there on the Wed Night Track night. Plus you can run any car you want in that class.
its THE best way to learn the track
I'll vouch for that. I used to be way at the rear, and now I'm a decent mid pack runner on there. Occasional podium. Probably smply from running it once a month through the classes on Wednesdays. It's become quite enjoyable, not work, cept maybe in R1, but that's because of the cars.
RACE DAY - Tonight we will head to Suzuka Full as we run through all the classes (F - R1). See you there
What is tonight's race going to be?
Lets head to Bernese Alps Festival tonight
Cool
Thanks for the good turnout last night. Good times as usual
As I mentioned in the lobby, I'm going to offer up a small twist to the concept going forward. (I know what your saying, WTF is Grim doing now!?!?)
In addition to the existing concept of a single track while we race in cars from F class through R1, Im going to add a Manufacture Challange to the mix on selected Fridays
WTF is a Manufacture Challange you ask??? Simply put for those that want to, you run every race in a car from the specified manufacture. The Maunfacture Challange is purely optional. If you want, you can still run the track night races in any car from any maunfacture however, I encourage you to give it a try. For those that do accept the challange, there will be 1,000,000 credits to the person with the most points for races completed in the specified manufacture. You dont need to paint or have your number on the car and no silly rules other than race clean and as Prebuilt always says, dont be a dick!
So with that being said, Our next track is Nurburging GP and the Manufacture Challange is Porsche
If anyone has any questions, please let me know
Then Porsche night it will be for me. I think it's a cool idea.
WTF is Grim doing now!?!?!?!!
Good idea, it might make me sto being lazy and tune a few more lower class cars
Max, if you plan on racing this evening and partaking in the Porsche challenge might you consider placing your cars in the Euro garage for me?
Parcells has a good buzz going, the first bottle of wine has pretty much evaporated, dinner has been consumed feeling like a drunken night of racing is upon us. Get a joint or two ready, a hooka bowl perhaps will be nice this is going to be a shit show!
See you on or off the track.
Sorry i wasnt around for this.
I will put some Beemers in the Euro garage Parcells
No worries and dont worry about the beemers either, Norschlieffe sucks pretty sure I wont be racing, still only have my initial 3 hours into GTA 5 so need to get to work on that before Christmas comes around.
See you guys on the track!
I have placed all of my Porsches in the 2O4A garage for tonights activities for anyone who dares to try them.
See you all in about 25 mins
Thanks to everyone for coming out last night. Had a solid participation level and some good times by all. Congrats on Brntguy winning the Manufacture Challenge this past week in the Porsches.
Next week we will be racing at the famed Nordschleife circuit with BMW as the Manufacture Challenge. Again, you don't have to run the BMW however this week you do get to start in the first grouping of cars if you do drive the beemers.
Looking forward to see you all at the track!
RACE DAY!
Nordschleife circuit with BMW as the Manufacture Challenge. Again, you don't have to run the BMW's however this week you do get to start in the first grouping of cars if you do drive the beemers.
I'll drop in tonight! I did not know this runs for 2 hours! Fantastic.
I will probably be late but it's not because of the ring!
did I miss something, or, where next?
(I sure need the practice... LOL! : )
All my stuff is still in Germany so let's stay there? Starts with a 'h', just saying.
Good suggestion,
BUT,
I'd like to see somewhere we don't usually end up.
Mix it up a bit.
And please, no Silverstone/Alps....
