Or you can come and live here
Careful what you wish for.......... I'm thinking I'd like to go hit up Silverstone or Brands Hatch for a touring car weekend or Bathurst one of these days. I was pretty much set to go to Bathurst this year.....then I went and got into the middle of purchasing a house. Bye bye $$$$.
I hate racing Coverage here in the US.. I have SPEED, but unless it's NASCAR, NHRA or IndyCar, you don't get to see it.. I miss watching WRC on SPEED every so often.. :(
Something I've started getting into a little from the U.S. is the off road truck/pick up racing. Got to love big V8 pickups racing round what looks like a motorcross circuit. We've been getting coverage on Motors TV the past couple of years,
Unfortunately us Americans are not big fans of road racing. Why this is I am not sure. It effects sim racing as much as TV racing. Just look at open servers in games like LFS, rFactor and Simbin and even iRacing. During USA day time (when we are working), the servers are usually hopping with lots of racers from Europe which is their prime time. Then comes our prime time which is just when the Euros go to bed and then the servers die with only a handful of USA racers who want to race.
I did hear...and it may be apocryphal...that many Americans thought Rallying only came into existence because of the xbox game, not the other way around.
Do you happen to know if/where the race will be televised?
for those in the U.K., coverage of the Nogaro race is on ESPN on Monday afternoon.
Also GT3 is on Motors TV Which is a free channel to Sky Customers
Damn you Europeans! All the cable companies over here think Americans don't care about sports car racing. I swear they think all we want is Crapcar.

I know this is an FIA GT thread, but just a heads up this weekends racing and coverage includes...
F1 2012
WTCC
BTCC
looks like another Sunday on the couch with a few beers :)
Only issue is I can only watch one and record one at once.
I need 2 T.V's

Yeah, if you really watch the schedule, you can catcha a race or two. The stadium trucks are a lot of fun to watch.
