Its with mixed emotions that long time North American Division Leader jcotter13 is stepping down to allow more time for personal interests that continue to expand. Although I’ve only know cotter for a few months, I can see his impact on the club and many of us feel that we would not still be here if it wasn’t for his efforts. So even though he won’t be racing, he’ll still be around the site to share a good laugh or even show some of musical talents with us. I think I can speak for all of us in saying thanks and you’ll be missed on the track! While this was sad to see cotter step down, I’m also happy to say that the club voted Gentlemen Racer (SnappyDee) as its new North American Division Leader this past week and will join CPRORacing (Euro Division Leader) in leading us to the next chapter in Forza and 2O4F! I think Max stated it best in the topic
“for those that were nominated, you were nominated because people thought you were good enough and wanted to see you lead the NA club, but even though Snappy won the vote (Congrats again) this is and always will be a group run forum. We all help each other with tunes, vinyls and paints, be it someone that has just joined or someone that has been here for a while. We all help with running events and a few of us have ideas floating about for future events. For me, I get to mix with both the Euro and the NA guys and the community we have is excellent. I am glad I joined 2O4F and look forward to running future events on FM4 and FM5 with this great bunch of guys. I am sure, me included, everyone will support and assist Snappy, as we have been doing with Cotter, in making the NA club one of the best.”
All the nominees (brntguy, drivebye, myself along with SnappyDee) brought different aspects to the club and we were honored to be nominated. While the three did not win the election, we will continue to support the club in any way we can. Congratulations Snappy, Well deserved!

In other news!
These past week we continued to welcome some new faces to the club as d VIPER b, Jormvngandr and wormwood70 look to hit the track running. Welcome guys!
Our weekly Track Nights (Wednesday Night - hosted by gizziegod & Friday Night – hosted by myself) has you running every class (F - R1) at a set track each week. This past week the Euro guys on Wednesday raced at Bernese Alps while the North American guys on Friday headed Suzuka with a great turnout as always.
This week the WeeklySaturdaySuperFunEvent (hosted by Drivebye this week) let their tops down and raced at several tracks in Roadsters for what looked like fun times by all who attended. Not sure what the guys have planned next but its sure to be “SuperFun”
The second season of the BTCC continues to take shape the drivers are fine tuning the cars and getting ready for what looks to be a fantastic season. With now 32 drivers signed up across two lobbies in just a short couple weeks.
The Thursday Night Small-bore Race Series is a new 4 week series that will be starting 9/26 hosted by PrebuiltAbyss. The cars eligible for this series include the Ford Escort RS1800, Datsun 510, MGB GT, Alfa Sprint GTA and the BMW 2002 built to B500 specifications. With tight twisty tracks on the schedule, it looks to be a blast to race.
Sadly, this past week marked the conclusion of two of our weekly series. The Sunday DTM’s enjoyed 5 strong weeks of competition which finished up with an endurance race of 20 laps at the famed Nordschleife track. After 2.5 hours or racing, HLR King Cobra showed once again why he is not human as he dominated the race for the win! SnoopSLR also finished first in his grouping. Congrats to HLR King Cobra on the series win in the “A” Room while GTV Zeratul won the championship in the “B” Room! Well done gentlemen.
In addition to the above, we frequently have a number of random lobby races where the guys just run random tracks and cars. These are a great way to try out new cars and improve your racing skills, not to mention have a great time.
It’s not all about racing though here at 204F, we have our weekly Thursday Night Throwdown (or now known as Hitting Balls with Cars) as we head to the soccer field for some great fun and laughs. A few of us are not hitting the links in Tiger Woods 14 where we get to drive something other than a racecar! Finally with the recent release of GTA-5, some of us have formed our crew and looking to have some fun. A few of us even broke out the Horizon disk this past week and had a good time. Who know, Horizon might be making a come-back as the interest is starting to pick up again. So even though FM4 is still the primary focus here at 2O4F, we still have fun doing other stuff as well.
As always, if you’re interested in good clean racing, helping each other and having a good time in an older (must be 25 or older) respectable community, feel free to head over to www.2old2Play.com and sign up and let us know you’re interested in joining 2old4forza in the “New in town” forum. We are always looking for new members to share some good banter and racing etiquette with. Hope to see you on the track.
