Just watched my first Australian V8 race, freaking awesome. There is more rubbing, bumping, and pit manuveurs than an espisode of COPS. Awesome racing!
here in Germany it is very hard to catch a live- or videostream for those v8 races. Sh...... I know they are racing like hell in Australia! Maybe in future we should try a v8-series in forza?

Now go run them in iRacing or join us over at GBR. They're a blast. :D
I tried to get my rfactor setup for GBR but just about every link on their forum leads to a 404 page not found or even a redirect saying the the US District Court has seized Megaupload's website. So at a loss on where to get all the mods required.

As you see Hawks has posted the links for you. You shoulda asked one of us for help... we have almost every mod and track we use mirrored on our own servers or Dropbox accounts. At GBR we'll hold your hand through the whole process if needed. :) Hell, Spaz has even been making some how-to videos!
Nice, I will work on that tonight when I get home. I have to stop off and pickup a G27 since my Fanatec is stuck in xbox mode. I would love to get the T500 RS but can't swing the price right now. Looking forward to doing some sim racing on the pc though :)

Ammo, keep your eye on tigerdirect.com, amazon and newegg. I got my T500RS for $385, based on a price match that Fry's Electronics reluctantly did for a tigerdirect.com listing. I have seen other ads for the wheel where it was being sold for $400 or less. Its worth every penny. Its now my main wheel, even though I have a brand new replacement CSR Elite sitting on my extra wheel stand.

Ammo, its a tedious install, but hang in there, the hassle is well worth it. Hawks and F1 can answer any questions you have. They also are willing to get on Teamspeak and help you out, as are several of the rest of us, although I am admittedly not nearly as knowledgeable as them. If you need help, just ask in the Help section of GBR and someone will help you out.
Last Fall during a football Sunday, while he could have been watching his Seahawks lose, Hawks spent a couple of hours with me on Teamspeak instead to help me set up rFactor. He was very patient and helpful, even though I am a Raider fan and he is jealous of the fact that my team has gone to five Super Bowls and won three of them, and his team got whacked in their only Super Bowl by an inferior, wild card Steelers team.
There should be an achievment for finishing a race upside down
I'm all for a V8 Supercars series in Forza. I've been tuning (attempting to tame) a Holden V8 Supercar (PI 800 R3) and its a hell of a lot of fun in the twisties! This will be a very wreck heavy series. Sim damage will have us all hitting the pits every few laps
Leave the HP stock (put the restrictor back in it), go max width on the tires and upgrade brakes. The cars are a lot of fun to drive and are quite managable with a little common sense with throttle application. We've run them before with out any major issues.
its like nascar.... but better.
you mean there is right corners... lol

I agree I watched a race this past weekend . Very tense racing through out the entire race.
Now go run them in iRacing or join us over at GBR. They're a blast. :D

Here is the V8 Factor mod that we run at GBR.

You will need to have rFactor installed first, then install this mod over the top.
To get you started, here is Bathurst, which is where these cars truly belong.

Is this a sample of your training videos?
Of course not, that car stayed on it's wheels.
That's Fitzy in training.

Heh I pretty much started racing here with a Holden in the EUSL, talk about baptism of fire.
