That will help a lot. I've never used mumble but it sounds like the way to go.
You figure, with a squad based game, they would put some effort into the chat portion of it, or at least make it simple.
Sadly, DICE have never put much effort into this aspect of the game. I can recall way back in 2004 on the original Xbox Halo2 having party chat, team chat, as well as proximity chat. Could you imagine what could happen if DICE would impliment proximity chat so a driver and gunner, not in the same squad, could actually communicate?
Or more importantly I could tell the asshat who stole my IFV last night, while I was repairing it, exactly what I thought of him!!
You hit it bang on there. I don't remember how many times I have hopped out of a vehicle in BF3 to repair it, only to have someone from another squad drive away in it while I am fixing it.
I'll try to get on for a few rounds tonight. It all depends on my workload. Is it possible to post the mumble information? When I reformatted my PC I lost everything.
Let me know if any of you have trouble setting it up. I believe Bunsen got a certificate error when he did it. I am sure we can problem solve a way out of it.
Client side update scheduled for tomorrow morning to fix the issues with game crashing and some of the network code issues, particularly the network sync issue where you appear to get shot after getting behind cover.

This morning, they were already working on a server patch for this that was rolling out. It seems like Dice were already expecting this and the server patch was necessary to keep up with the client new client patch. Hopefully, it is not fully implemented when this was posted and a new server patch is needed. I guess I will find out tonight.
I had tons of issues last night after the client update. For some reason I couldn't log on onto Battle-log on Windows Internet Explorer. I had to play around with the security settings until something worked. Then I had issues that the servers wouldn't load the ping, I had to reboot. Then I had issues with audio, couldn't fix them had to use headset. But all in all things stabilized, only had one crash but apparently it was only me. The only thing that is bugging the shit out of me is that "Motion Blur" aka/ "Screen radiation" that appears out of the sudden.
Last night I only had one crash and it was between rounds so no lost XP. I don't know if I kept running into N00bs or what but I swear I won 90% of the gunfights I got into quite easily at all ranges. The blur SUCKS and is completely random, not associated with a commander EMP. A "fix" is being worked on:
Maybe this will be stabalized enough around Xmas so I can use some of my XP boost. The China Rising DLC is due on Dec 3rd for Premium payers. Non-premium have an additional 2 week wait. For those wondering how DICE can be releasing DLC so soon with all the issues currently in the game...EA LA aka Danger Close aka Medal of Honor: Warfighter is making ALL the DLC for BF4.
@Bunsen - I couldn't get a kill last night if it came gift wrapped and served on a silver platter with an extra helping of kill sauce, so I'm glad that karma worked for a team mate.

According to Reddit via the BattleLog forum, we should be seeing another PC patch this week to fix all the stuff last weeks patch screwed up. :) I guess we shall see how this one goes. PS4 patch is being worked on and I'm quite sure XBone will need one also once it launches this week. VERY rough launch for DICE for such a marquee title. Once the game is stable we'll still have several weeks/months until they can tweak any balance issues.
Scratch, the last time I played (Friday) I couldn't win a gun battle either, but that was mainly due to the constant seizure inducing blur.
I joined the site several years ago and played a lot of Gears and CoD on 360 with iuney, Lusetti, Ace, mrs. meatshield and others.
I took a 2 year hiatus from gaming until I got a PS4 the other day. I'm looking to game again with both old and new friends from 2o2p.

I played yesterday. NVidia had a new driver out. But I still crashed personally, everytime I was moving one game to the next. Also still had blur issues.
Had many WTF moments yesterday. Emptied a clip on a dude's back and he just turned around and shot me, and it was fucking HARDCORE.
Tried a couple of games last night with the new drivers from NVIDIA. A couple of crashes, pretty much the same deal. I don't think I had any Acid blur. I'll be on over the weekend,

Yeah, I had to quit on Monday because of this. When the system crashes i don't even try to log back on, I'm like "I'm done for the night".
