Go into the in-game menu where you equip your weapons and use the bumper buttons to cycle from your character to your friends/groups.
I played solo for a few hours last night & got up to a level 4 Hunter. Was cruising on the 'Hard' difficulty solo missions until the end of mission 4 when the Hard level was 7 & was swarmed. Need to upgrade the guns it seems....
Will likely partner up with people online today & tonight for some fire team stuff and Crucible....
I turned on my XB1 to look for something to start download the beta after I punched in my Beta code at Bungie.net website (and got three lengthy codes) but I do not see anything that suggest to download the Destiny beta yet?

Go to store and look for the CODES box to enter in your code. It will auto download there.

Important note on Xbone version: the beta is at 900p resolution, but the completed game will be 1080p. I read that on Twitter from Bungie.
