Christmas Eve 1977...
That particular holiday night stands out in my memory... 1977...
My brother and I hooked up our fresh ATARI 2600!!! We did not sleep for two or three days.
We really played the COMBAT cartridge - or TANK BATTLE - it was so great to blow each other up with Tanks!
So....

BATTLE-Tank-ZONE-Battle - a custom forge variant on Impact. (screenshots unavailable at this time)
The map layout is a direct re-size of an ATARI 2600 Tank level. I've tried to set it up to work for battle with 2 to 16 players, FFA and with up to 4 teams (CTF). Most gametypes have been included, or will function.
*Seems better suited to smaller teams though (after some testing and feedback)
If you play 1v1-RvB and jump right into the Tanks... It's like a great combo of Atari Tank & Battlezone!! Cool Sheet!
Please Try it out! Have Fun with Friends!!! - (Challenge and defeat your sibling of choice this holiday season!)
Cheers to ALL at 2old2play!!!
Does it require a special slayer type? We tried it a few weeks back and couldn't get some vehicles to spawn.
Nice variant. I will so try this out next night I get to play...
Scorpion Zone!
If you use Infinity Slayer - as Red and Blue teams - you get a Scorpion and a Scorpion spawn plate. Mantis' pop up on either end too. I set up initial and random ord. drops.
Gold and Green teams get Rocket Hog spawn plates, but I may have set them for CTF gametype only. ?
To use the vehicle spawns, you need to play 'team enabled'. If you play FFA the Team-assigned spawn plates won't work. (I tried, won't work as neutral)
We had a fun 2v2 match with everyone in Scorpions, however, with a bigger party and more boots on the ground, it became a little chaotic, lots of mostly open spaces.
