I like them so far. Complex is my favorite, but the swampy outdoors one and the forerunner plain Jane two level one has some good fights. The indoor one that reminds me of countdown has some good site lines.
Dunno why, but I liked Complex immediately, and always vote for it when it comes up.
One thing that I have noticed: there aren't really any choke points in slayer to control. The combat seems to be fluid in game. Objective on the other hand seems a bit more traditional, but still free flowing.
I've mainly played BTB and Dominion, but here's how I like the maps in those playlists so far:
1. Exile - absolutely love this map. Very well done. You have open areas for vehicles and picking off noob,s and tunnels and coverage for safety from the vehicles.
2. Vortex - only been able to play it a few times but I'm liking more each time.
3. Valhalla - It was fun at first, but lately that's all anyone votes for and it's beginning to lose its luster. :/
4. Longbow - Good map except everyone fights in one specific area. Rest of the map doesn't get much use.
5. Meltdown - This is better suited for 4v4 or 5v5, anything bigger and it becomes crowded.
The other 5 maps, which are smaller, I haven't had much time with. Overall I'm impressed with the quality...although it's not difficult after the atrocious maps Reach contained.
Complex is a garbage map. Given that the vast majority of the fighting takes place with one team on top of that white building and the other team peeking out of various windows to take shots at them most of the map is wasted and the whole thing just feels too campy.
THe rest of the maps are great though, just wish there were more. I don't remember offhand but I think Reach had more maps at launch since a few of them were built on Forge World.
Loving the maps so far. And because of the range of the DMR and beautiful and thought throug map design I even find myself liking and having a great time playing BTB. Who knew?!?! I can now be part of the combat without having to jump into a vehicle of some sort. Love it!

Same here, we hopped into a BTB Slayer and had a good time as well. I never got into BTB before. We were in Valhalla (whatever the new name is). I grabbed the Mantis and wreaked havoc. Good times.
The game is fantastic. Even a buddy of mine who didn't care much for Reach (his first Halo game) is really having a good time with it. I'm really liking the maps as well and it seems like i'm always in a gun fight. So no complaints there!
I think they did a great job with the maps. Like most here, Complex is my favorite. Haven is the one that has been giving me the most trouble - I seem to get killed quite a bit on that map by enemies coming at me from different directions that I did not expect.
I only played a handful also, but I liked most of the smaller ones. I'm still holding judgement though. I didn't try any big maps yet.
I am loving the maps. So far. We played on as many as we could last night. All Infinity Slayer.
you shouldn't think this means I don't have a list of Halo 4 dislikes.
I enjoyed the maps for the most part. I do have a couple of maps I haven't tried, but overall I thought they were fun.
So far I've loved the maps. I've only played matches on about half of them, but I've really enjoyed everything I've seen.
I don't know. Medic made us play Fraggle Rock ten times. Lol

Liked what I have seen so far, especially the color and contrast.

Hope that made sense :)

I loike them all so far and they all have one tactic that is a must... Control the high Ground!
not true, haven is all about the lower floor!
Loving the maps I played so far as for names I couldn't tell ya
Complex is my favorite. Lots of jumps and shooting lanes. Overall I like all of them. You can tell 343 put some real thought into them.

I dunno, you can keep your ground floor, I'll happily stay up top and rain down head shots.
I like Dominion on Eden a whole bunch, actually I am loving Dominion double plus good.

No complaints about any of the maps I've played so far. All have been good stuff.
Maps are good I really like abandon and complex is good. That being said I am horrible at the game. Seriously, it's embarrassing
Complex is the best. The others..... eh.. Nothing really shines ATM.
complex sucks ass! that is all.
Blue team is at a huge disadvantage on that map.
