E3 - Walshy and Bravo Halo 4 wrap up.
At the very end, it was interesting that they threw in a comment about how not all FPS Pros like Halo 4. It seemed to be in response to comments about their somewhat positive reviews from E3. I'm guessing there is a bunch of forum trolls on MLG calling them shills.
Well, that's obvious. Not everyone is going to like it. Some folks didn't like the DMR, bloom, and armor abilities in Reach at all, and they're all still in Halo 4, but now with weapon drops, kick on the sniper rifle, staying scoped in even when you're getting shot, and other things, people are going to be pretty wary/finicky.
After hearing the video, I don't think there are any "trolls" that are calling them out. All we've heard is that everyone loves it, and that anything that's questionable is "going to be tweaked". It's hard to fuck up the Halo system. If this is closer to Halo 3.5, then we're back in business. If it's closer to Reach 2, then we're in serious fucking trouble. I think that's reason to worry and to have high expectations.
Agreed. I'm scared, which is why I'm avoiding all the pre-release talk. I'd rather just wait and see what happens. I'm slowly watching my love for Reach die, and I am holding out hope that Halo 4 will be 3.5ish. Please? Pretty please?
I can't help but think, all these positive reviews about H4 soooo reminds me that the word on Reach in the very beginning was that everybody loved it because it was H1 all over again. It was not.
We'll know what H4 is really like in the fall, not sooner nor later.
Yeah, I know, I'm boring that way. ;-)
I'm trying to stay positive until the truth hits us in the face. Even then it won't matter a lot to me personally if MM doesn't work or the game has a few things being called out for balance issues. I've gone nearly two years using default REACH in customs and still having a blast twice a week, every week. I only have to hope someone keeps making new Halo games.
If Spartan Ops keeps getting released into late 2013, I'll be in heaven (on Earth I hope).
Forge may prove to be very intertaining for me.
Totally agree, by the way. I hope to hear folks say it's "Halo 3.5".
This is true. Granted after the Reach Beta, enthusiasm started to decrease and serious concerns developed. There was a lot of hype for Reach initially but the game released and kind of fell flat. People lost interest because Reach just did not hold their attention. The randomness and pace of the game can be frustrating and the majority of the maps are boring at best.
