Hey all got a bit of a problem. The wife and I decided to shutoff cable since neither of us really watch tv. The only drawback is I have lost the ability to watch F1. So anyone know of a place online where you can watch it?
Ammo, could you please gice me your impression of life without cable and how you adjust to it. I am thinking about doing the same thing but, well...you know how it is. It's not an easy transition. especially since I have a 3 year old. I've been thinking it might be best for him too.
Me and the wife cutoff our cable a while back. We're saving a bunch. To satiate our tv needs I got a wd hd box and we subscribed to hulu. Happy as a clam we're no longer tied to the idiotbox. Do it your brain will thank u!
Must've been since '04, so close to 8 years. Don't miss it. Not worth $100/mo just to get to the tier that has the stations I'd most watch. Especially now w/ streaming Netflix or Hulu, you can typically find most of the shows you want (commercial free, or nearly) for $10-15/mo.
Justin.tv is another source for catching motorsport action. You can frequently find F1, V8 Supercars & WTCC broadcast "almost" live. That's where I catch most of my V8SC races at. As an added bonus, they are frequently Channel 7 (Austrailian) broadcast. No dumbshit broadcasters that don't know what a race car is if it isn't a NASCAR. I also was able to watch non-stop coverage (at least while I was awake ) of the 24 Hours of Lemans this year.
Yep as the others have said Hulu and netflix. Also itunes, we just bought an apple tv and love it. I setup a media server loaded all our cd's and dvd's onto so now we can watch from any pc, tv, iphone, here or on the road. Great for when I'm away at training.
I did find that Speedtv.com has the F1 races streamed for free. I'm checking out Justin.tv right now, looks interesting.
Just to give you a hint our bill for cable went from 150.00 a month to 45.00 a month just for internet.
Jeez thats expensive over there! And I remember from when I was in the US in '98 that you truly are watching comercials wich are interupted by a program. Paying 45 euro's for TV and net.
@ sherb, I know what you mean, I watched a Euro GT3 race once and the comentator kept calling a Mosler a Viper!!??? Must admit they were both silver though.
Without cable how do I distract the wife-to-be so I can race. Nothing gets me uninterrupted sim time like Project Runway and shit like that. Me? I download 90% of what I watch on TV from... um... places and stuff.
vipbox.tv

What about ESPN? How will I watch college football and NFL during the football season?
