Did you find or make a great forge map? Post it up and share.
I am personally looking for well done arena style maps about the same size of Haven. I'll up date this first post with the list as people post their favs.
You can download from fileshare on console-in game. If the file is available in your friends fileshare, even if they are offline, just do search by gamertag.
Does anyone have an Octagon map? Or something similar? I remember one practice map for H3 that had 3 different areas to practice in, something like that would be pretty cool.
I've got a remake of Onslaught finished and in my file share. I replaced the mauler with the scattershot and I'm not 100% on exactly where the spawns go, but structurally everything should be in place, all the familiar jumps should be there. Nice to see people are getting maps made. I barely started my old standby. My friend FyreWulfe is convinced the Halo 4 spawn system is dramatically different than in previous Halos. Something about the instant spawning picking poor respawns and teamates carrying more weight than deaths near spawns. He is guessing that holding off your respawn may result in a better one.

Instant spawning, just by itself, puts a different stress on a map that didn't exist in previous Halo titles.
I totally agree with DEEP's friend. if I'm spawning right back in the action, waiting a little seems to return me to original spawn unless that's where the action is at.
I've got a 4v4 arena in my file share called Orbit that's been playing well. It's roughly the size of Haven with more focus on verticality.
Focus on verticality like Countdown, or Onslaught?
A bit more like Onslaught with how many sight lines it has and how open it is. I'm working on a remake for that map, always liked it.
Just send them a friend request and even if they're offline you can look at their fileshare from the guide menu and get stuff from there.
you still can't get to file shares on the waypoint website, right?
so the only way to download anything is to know someone who has it, and catch them online?

I have the octagon if anyone wants it. I didn't make it. :)

Think I might tackle a Guardian remake next.
