does anyone know the play lists that have FF damage on and and the ones that have it tired off? I thought damage was off for everything but pro, but that is not true.
FF is ON in Slayer pro for certain. I found out the hard way because I wiped out Captain Hooke with grenade spam last night. Sorry.
Also, you can ALWAYS kill yourself with friendly fire, no matter the playlist. The Incinerator Cannon is typically the cuplprit here.
The one thing I am unsure of is if you can FF others with the IC in the infinity playlists. It seems like the little globs that bounce off can kill friendly players sometimes, because they get the "de-rez" death animation that you get from Forerunner weapons.
also, do not drop a pulse grenade at your feet as you flee. it detonates on impact....instant suicide!

it's the one that turns into a big red sphere and eventually explodes.
you can carry three different grenades:
frag - typical grenade you see in the war movies. detonates about 2.5 sec after impact. bounces off hard surfaces. looks like a normal grenade in your display.
plasma (sticky) - ball of plasma that detonates about 2 sec after impact. it sticks to some surfaces (like your armor). it doesn't bounce like a frag. look like a solid circle in your display
pulse - explodes on impact into a sphere of EMP. then a second explosion after about 5 sec. looks like a hypocycloid. (a diamond with concave sides)
I killed Medic with a rocket launcher on Longbow Dominion when he jumped in front of me, oh and of course ti was my fault. I may have pulled the trigger but that betrayal suicide was because he jumped infront of my rocket. Vehicles and splash damage must work differently.

Don't feel bad, I killed him twice about 20 seconds apart in a banshee a couple months ago on Boneyard. The first kill was when he jumped in front of me during a splatter, hut the second one was even better- he was running for a scorpion and I fuel rodded him practically from orbit because I forgot what team I was on. The things he said were priceless.
Ran my first MP last night w/ Lou and some others.
...I think I'm a hazard to my own health. I kept pitching grenades when I intended to jump...just about blew myself to bits more than once. "Oh shit. RUN!" After the first one, I tried to keep more to myself, so as not to jeapordize my own teammates. I actually got around to getting my first kills in the final match. Gratifying. 4 kills to ..... um ..... maybe 40-50 deaths. Yeah, gonna need to work on that a bit.
That's one thing I do miss. Friendly Fire forced you to think about your shots.
I was assassinating someone and got spammed with nades. I died, but my foe lived through the series of explosions. not happy!
This has happened to me as well. We've also noticed in games were friendly fire is turned off you can still run your team mates over with a vehicle.
Friendly Fire is turned off in Infinity Slayer and Big Team Infinity Slayer.
As far as I can tell, FF is on in the "classic" playlists.
Friendly fire is what you get when Parcells is on your team.

When I kill him, he just says "really??" about five times.

I know the feeling all to well. I don't do it nearly as often as I used to, but more than I'd like. lol
