HaloTracker - to pay or not to pay...
I'm monitoring my girlfriends stats pretty heavily for my blog and also well I'm just a stats junky in general. I find halo waypoint to be vague and cumbersome. I think halotracker.com will work but they want I think $15 to show you individual game stats. Would/do you pay it?
They don't have authorized direct access to any Halo stats as far as I know. REACH and Bungie provided direct access through an authorized API.
The methods now used could fail at anytime and 343i would not be responsible.
My advice, without additional information, is no.
Why would you pay 15 bucks for something that is free? You can find individual stats on waypoint, you just have to know how to find and disect the info.
Cumulative stats give a better overall picture of skill and player improvement.
Simply put, convenience. It's a one time $15 fee (if I'm seeing it correctly) and has all the stats I want to look at on one page instead of having to navigate through what I feel is a clunky interface. As far as cumulative stats giving a better overall picture, yes I'm aware of that, I wanted to look at the individual games for my own amusement. :) Deep you have a good point, I don't think they're using an official API so I'll use the waypoint interface. Thanks for the input guys!
I paid easy to use, all the numbers a number dork like me could want. Spent $15 on less useful things over the year!
That was kind of my stance on it Sparty. I guess my main concern was that there was another site out there that gave the same results for free or that maybe someone had heard the site was a ripoff for some reason. Unless I'm not seeing something correctly, you still have to pull out your calculator even for Halo Waypoint. I'll probably end up doing it eventually. Another oddity I'm finding with Halo Waypoint - what is the timezone they use? I'm in the central timezone and we usually play between 8 and 11, that should keep all the games on " today" in all the timezones, but they are being split either yesterday and today or today and tomorrow I can't recall which...
