Sexcellent.  1   I saw this earlier today during my lunchbreak but forgot to post it when I got home.

Learning these points and the order in which they rotate for each map will be a major key to doing well on this mode.

Is it me or would this be more fun if they were completely random instead of a fixed order? I have noticed the other teams I have played aginst always seem to have them locked down before the switched.

This.  I agree this game type would be a lot better if it were random.  Its seems more like a race to the first one. Oh the other team got it first.  Lets run and camp the second spot.

That depends on if you are running with a team or just randoms.  I like knowing where the next hardpoint is and setting up to cap it.  It requires more teamwork (how can this be, it's CoD.  No TEAMWORK ALLOWED!  smiley) and strategy.

In all of hte gametypes this one has the most F*ed up spawns.  It is just aweful. Maybe the random spawn point would help but i just an not get past the spawns.

Thoughts on making this thread a sticky?  Seems like something to refer back to often.

I put this knowledge into practice during the clan games tonite.  While playing Hardpoint on Meltdown, I watched the timer and when there was only about 10-15 sec left before a hardpoint expired, I would run to the next one in the rotation and be 1st to take it a good % of the time.  Not only does it help the team out, it also gives you extra score when you single-handedly cap a point.  Our team did some fantastic murdering across the map, to be sure, but nailing down the HP first also gave us an advantage, and IIRC we won that game by a fair margin.

This is definitely something that folks who want to play a little more competitively will want to learn.  Watching some of the pros play on Twitch TV, they do the same thing - reminding each other of the rotation before the map starts, then sending an early runner(s) to the next HP in the rotation before the old one expires.

I agree, Sexy. This gametype would be a lot more fun if the hardpoints were random. But that said, if you're playing with a team that knows the hardpoint rotation, you could win many, many games against timmies.

Foolish Drew, there is no teamwork in COD.  Come on, we've been told this over and over again.

what i do like in custom mataches you can make them random.  wish they would setup the playlist like that.

But i get your point Whiskey.  Having them on a fixed rotation fosters a strategy. eventually everyone will know it.
