Boo to the 5th degree. I like beating people who boosted their 50's and talking trash :)
Or beating them as they're boosting up. Either way, it's fun.
I would think the rank system in H4 will cause more people to boost than it would if it had a ranked playlist. Players in CoD boost all the time just to get to a pointless prestige now Halo boosters will have something to really boost for.
Right, think call of duty. You prestige at lvl 50 Spartan Points or whatever, get your specialization unlocked you want, and start the grind to 50 again for a new specialization.

Ugh. Time to never prestige again.
You do that, and it looks like you'd be at a disadvantage. Who knows yet.
We also don't know the rate of "spartan points." what a bad name btw....
Now if we order the LE version of the game. I think it comes with 5 or 6 specializations...right? Or was there something about those being locked for X amount of time or something.

No/yes. You have an advanced option to select one of those 6 specializations after you reach lv 50, I think. 343i may unlock one or two of those specializations to the whole community before you even finsh completely earning the first one.

Okay now I'm confused....Ghost posted something in 2o2ph forum from the bulletin thingy, and it said "launch day access to 6 specializations" comes with LE... I'm getting a headache in my eye. "Launch day access" leads me to believe I don't have to play a hundred hours...??
Oh he's right, you have access...Once you hit lvl 50, you can choose from any one of those 6 unlocked with the LE, otherwise you only get the option of 1 of 2 unlocked by 343i. As you grind your way up to lvl 50 again you can now unlock another specialization, and so on...
Also take note that once you choose a specialization, you have to stay with it until all unlocks are completed and then you get to choose a different specialization.

Bulletin says that takes about as long as going from lvl 40-50, but since that's all they said we really still have no idea how long.
I'd wager shorter than you think, but still a good chunk of game time.
I saw 1-50 skillset in there. Is that confirmed.
I am fairly sure it's just a result of your Spartan Points earnings. EXP levels I guess you'd call it.

Damn, based on this it appears that JIP is in.

I thought we got all of that stuff with the LE....now I dunno.Ed
Edit: just read deep's post.
